This naturally processed Peruvian coffee comes from the northern highlands of Cajamarca. It's a carefully curated coffee, representing the collective dedication of smallholder producers farming at exceptional elevations between 1,700 and 1,960 meters above sea level.
Los Tulipanes brings together multiple farms across the communities of San Ramón, La Cascarilla, and Sector El Campo in the districts of Huabal, Jaén, and Callayuc.

Since childhood, coffee has been part of my life. My father took my brother and me to work on the plot, and that's how I learned everything about coffee farming. I only studied up to primary school — it was all we could afford. At 23, I started a family, and thanks to my wife's encouragement, at 27 I resumed my studies to complete my basic education.
When the opportunity came to buy land with my father and brother, I seized it. I applied for a loan at Banrural and acquired 12 cuerdas (4.7 hectares), planting coffee on 11 and leaving one with forest. I also pursued self-improvement, studying to become a nursing assistant and completing a diploma in maternal and neonatal care — work that fills me with deep pride.
Production is improving. I used to harvest 5–7 quintals of parchment; this year I reached 13, and hope for 15–16 next season. I've replanted with the Anacafé 14 variety and dream of installing a rainwater collection system to process coffee directly on the plot.
One memory stays with me: after applying technical recommendations, my plantation thrived — then a severe drought wiped out everything. We harvested almost nothing. It was painful, but it became fuel to keep going.
Today I work as a nursing assistant at the Concepción Huista Primary Care Center. On my days off, I return to my plot — building, step by step, a better future for my family.
