Stop waiting to fit into your old jeans đ
We wouldn't buy clothes for our newborn in 12-month sizes and make them "make it work." So why do we do it to ourselves?
Squeezing into clothes that don't fit makes you feel uncomfortable all day. Wearing only maternity clothes doesn't feel good either. And when you feel bad, you're not motivated to do anything else for yourself.
Here's what to do instead: Buy clothes for the body you have NOW. Not the body you had. Not the body you hope to have. Now.
It doesn't have to be expensive. Go second-hand. Go somewhere cheaper. But get 2-3 pieces that actually fit and make you feel good.
Because treating yourself well now will help you feel better sooner than squeezing into things that don't fit.
This is a snippet from my conversation with about confidence, style, and feeling like yourself again after having a baby.

We glorify suffering at every stage of motherhood.
Tough pregnancy? You're so strong.
Traumatic birth? You earned your baby.
Exhausted and stained postpartum? Now that's a real mum.
But show up looking put-together? People assume you're not doing the real work.
Here's the truth: Struggle doesn't equal worth.
You don't have to prove you're a good mother by suffering.
And if refusing to look exhausted makes people uncomfortable? That's not your problem.
Listen to this episode with stylist and psychologist Bekah on the for the confidence boost you need đ
"I just want to feel like myself again."
"I don't recognize myself anymore."
Have you said these words to yourself? I have.
After having my twins, I spent two years living in "house" clothes. Not the cute lounge-wear you see advertised on Zalando. More like clothes with stubborn stains that wouldn't come out. Things with holes. Shapeless tracksuits.
I told myself it was practical and comfortable. It was only going to be a matter of minutes before I had milk thrown on it anyway. My only outings were the school and the supermarket. But really? I'd stopped seeing myself as someone worth dressing for.
When my twins turned two, I decided to celebrate by doing something fun for a change: I booked a colour consultation with personal stylist Bekah Kraakman
What started as finding my best colours turned into something much deeper. Fears and insecurities I didn't even know I was carrying came to the surface. Things that were actually being represented in what I wore and how I wore it.
So I HAD to bring Bekah onto the podcast.
