The BLOK (block) was founded in the 70's by Walter van Hauwe and Kees Boeke and has become a conception for numerous recorder players around the world.

Throwback to the December Blok concert last Thursday. The RWMA brought the audience this exciting piece - Muy Linda by Anthony Holborne (1545 - 1602).
Anthony Holborne was a composer during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. Muy linda are from his collection titled "The
Pavans, Galliards, Almains and Other Short Aeirs, Both Grave and Light, in FiveParts, for Viols, Violins, or Other Musical Wind Instruments", published in 1599. This collection is one of the largest surviving examples of English consort music, with most pieces featuring the pavan and galliard combination, including the two mentioned pieces.
