As 2025 closes, IIAV President Sergio Luzzi reflects on a highly impactful year for our community and outlines priorities for 2026 and beyond.
2025 highlights include the success of ICSV31 in Incheon, expanded awards and grants for students and young researchers, the nomination of new Fellows and Distinguished Fellows, and the launch of the inaugural IIAV AI Challenge.
For 2026, IIAV will focus on strengthening our role as a premier international community through more effective communication (website and social media) and continued publication of high-quality open-access research in IJAV.
Membership renewal for 2026 is now encouraged. Benefits include reduced ICSV registration fees, no page charges for IJAV publications, and opportunities to contribute through IIAV committees and leadership roles. Please also ensure your IIAV profile is up to date, including a professional headshot.
Our major milestone in 2026 will be ICSV32 in Istanbul, Türkiye (July 5–10, 2026), including a special two-day Acoustics and Vibration Academy. Registration and abstract submission are open.
Thank you to our officers, volunteers, and members for your continued trust and support.
