Our next Up Next explores the art of performing with intention. Guided by ’s approach to techno, this masterclass focuses on structure, timing, and sonic control. It looks at how artistic identity shapes your decisions in the booth and how clarity can be more powerful than spectacle.

Across workflow, harmonic awareness, EQ philosophy, spatial design, and performance psychology, the session breaks down how to build tension and guide emotion with precision. It is a deep dive into making choices that feel deliberate, confident, and true to your sound.

Kick drums are often the clearest guide when precision matters most.

Their power cuts through the mix, making every moment of alignment easier to hear as both tracks lock tightly into place.

With each correction, your ears sharpen and your hands respond faster, building the instinct to catch subtle drift before it pulls the energy away.

A quick touch on the jog becomes second nature, restoring control in real time and turning small mistakes into seamless recovery.

When two tracks slip out of time, peak time precision takes over.

Fast paced energy is kept alive through subtle touches on the jog and controlled pitch correction, tightening the groove without interrupting the momentum.

Once alignment is restored, attention shifts to sculpting the blend through deliberate EQ control, balancing frequencies with precision so each element finds its place.

Rhythm becomes seamless again, transforming technical correction into a powerful, fluid progression.

Reverb is usually thought of as a space-making tool, allowing you to make things wider & far away, but in this video I’m using it a bit differently.

Instead of just pushing sounds into the background, I’m sending a sample into a long and exaggerated reverb, recording the return, and turning that result into new material that can be reshaped, reversed, and pitched down.

From there, it becomes something you can actually use in transitions or when you are introducing new elements in a track.

Working with effects in this way and reprocessing sounds that already exist inside your track, will help you build a more cohesive sound-pallete to use later on in your arrangement :)

Our next Up Next dives into the creative and technical backbone of modern club production. A full walkthrough of unreleased track Come Alive, exploring the decisions that shape energy, clarity, and identity inside a contemporary techno workflow.

From concept to arrangement, from sound design to mix strategy, we open the project session step by step to show how a track evolves into a system‑ready piece and an extended DJ tool. A transparent look into process, intention, and craft.

Most of my tracks don’t start with a clear idea… they start with exploration and a jam session.

In this video I’m building a techno track using a mix of hardware and Ableton, starting from a simple jam and turning it into a usable loop. I’m recording everything, selecting the parts that feel right, and shaping them inside Ableton with subtle processing and movement.

This isn’t about finishing a track, but more about showing you the process of how my ideas come together, how small decisions affect the outcome, and how you can go from something very raw to something that starts to feel like a track.

A lot of the time, the best results come from not overthinking the beginning… just exploring, recording, and building from there.

Peak time mixing in action.
Hard techno meets trance-driven elements, with faster BPM and high-impact transitions shaping the energy curve.
The first track is allowed to breathe before introducing the second through tight, rhythmic shakers—adding momentum without breaking the flow.
Listener focus is gradually redirected using precise EQ control, blending both tracks into a seamless, driving progression.

We usually think about our tracks in terms of arrangement and elements… but not as much in terms of space.

Mid/Side EQ is a simple way to approach your mix from that perspective by separating what sits in the center from what lives in the stereo field.

In this video, I’m using Ableton’s EQ to clean up the low-end by keeping it focused in the mid, while allowing the higher frequencies to create width on the sides.

You can also push this further creatively by shaping the sides and the center differently, depending on what your track needs.

Headphones advised for this one :)
