Recently, I started making my own glazes. It’s a new part of the process that I’m really enjoying: testing, adjusting, layering, and seeing how small changes affect the result.
These are some tests of a satin pale green, built up in single and multiple layers on different clay bodies. I love how lively this glaze becomes, shifting from quiet and milky to deeper, softer, almost moss-like surfaces.
Some of these experiments will find their way to Utrecht’s Keramiekmarkt on Saturday, September 26. I will bring lots of small and big objects, such as vases, fermentation pots, bowls, mugs, plates, planters, rock soliflores, and much more.
Hope to see you there! 🌿
