Step in the Light is a joint end performance of Expanded Contemporary Dance and the Modern Theatre Dance in which three generations of dancers will shine. It consists of a matinee of first-year ECD students presenting their own collaborative projects and an evening triple bill of ECD2 and MTD3. Artistic leaders Bojana Bauer and Angela Linssen invited three renowned choreographers to work with the students for a period of 6 weeks. The result of this process are three pieces in one evening ranging from repertoire to improvised work.

ECD and MTD have the pleasure to present you a joint program, "Step in the light", including Student Projects, repertoire from Leine&Roebana and ICK and a new work by Micheal Schumacher! 🔥⚡ You are warmly invited to witness the outcome of an exchange between choreographers of the SNDO and dancers from the ECD departments. The works of SNDO 3rd year students are presented across four programs in Veem House for Performance.

By working together, the students get to experience all facets of creating an autonomous work – and the responsibility that comes with assuming the role of choreographer. Future dance talents get the opportunity to work with younger generation choreographers, and experiment together outside the modus when a dancer works with already known or established maker. 🔥⚡

🔥⚡Graag nodigen we je uit om de resultaten te komen bekijken van de uitwisseling tussen de choreografen van SNDO en de dansers van ECD. Het werk van de 3e jaars SNDO studenten wordt, verdeeld over 4 dagen, gepresenteerd in het Veem, House for performances,

Door samen te werken leren de studenten alle facetten die horen bij het creëren van autonoom werk en de verantwoordelijkheid die komt bij de rol van choreograaf. Onze toekomstige talenten krijgen de kans om te werken met de nieuwe generatie choreografen en om samen te experimenteren in een andere setting dan wanneer je als danser werkt met een reeds gerenommeerde maker. 🔥⚡
