Ever watched people Blues dance and thought: “That looks fun… but where do I even start?” 👀 This year at Trippin’ Blues Amsterdam we’ve got a Beginner track just for the Blues‑curious. Two days, 5 hours of classes, and a room full of people who are just as new as you are.

You don’t need Blues experience and you don’t need a fixed partner – having tried any kind of partner dance helps, but your curiosity is the main requirement. We’ll walk you through the basics, connection, and that delicious Blues groove so you can already dance the night away after your first class.

Throwback to Trippin’ Blues 2024, a.k.a. ‘remember when we said we’d go home early and then didn’t?’.
From dancing on a boat through the Amsterdam canals to celebrating the cabaret finale and closing the floor on Sunday night, last edition was full of those ‘just one more song’ moments.

Live bands, sweaty smiles, impressive shapes on the floor, and that feeling of being totally exhausted and totally happy at the same time.
In 2026 we’re doing it again – with 6 parties with live music, 2 days of workshops in 6 tracks, and our traditional Friday Exchange Day to show you Amsterdam the Trippin’ way.

In June 2026 Amsterdam turns into a Blues dance playground again. From 18 – 23 June you’ll get:

The Blues Joint

After dancing around all summer we are excited to come back to our home base and kick off the new block of classes!

We start on September 9 with a taster class open to anyone that is curious to try blues dancing. No experience required, perfect also to bring in some friends!

On September 16 we kick off the new block. It is still an open class to give everyone a chance to try the dance before signing up.

20:15-21 Community practice session
21-23 Backroom Blues social dance

We changed the format a little from last year so instead of regular classes at intermediate level, our returning dancers will get to play and practice together in thematic sessions. Curious?! Stay tuned for more details!
