Meet the 20/21 KallioPPE Committees:

The ACADEMIC COMMITTEE organizes tutoring sessions, guest lectures, study platforms, debates and so much more ✏️
The EXCURSION COMMITTEE organizes all kinds of trips and fun activities in and around Amsterdam. Unfortunately, due to the strict Covid-19 regulations, we have to wait a little longer to explore new places together ⛱
The FRESHERS COMMITTEE works hard to plan an awesome and fun Freshers Weekend for all new PPE students next year, where they can get to know each other and form close bonds that will last for the entire study and longer 👯‍♀️
The MUN COMMITTEE plans our very own PPE Model United Nations. Together with other PPE studies from different cities, there will be a great weekend full of interesting debates and networking🎓
The PARTY COMMITTEE organizes borrels, all kinds of fun parties (like Halloween and Valentines), and even our own gala. Of course the circumstances prove to be a bit harder this year but catching up with your friends online is a great alternative 🎉
The PUBLICATION COMMITTEE is responsible for desining all KallioPPE posters and advertisements. Stay tuned for awesome merch and a yearbook to look back at all the amazing memories from PPE📖
The SOCIAL COMMITTEE organizes all kinds of fun events like clothing swaps, events surrounding political issues (like the US election), cultural exchanges , and so much more 🎈
The SPORTS COMMITTEE organizes fun athletic activities, like runs, workouts, challenges, and maybe even a soccer league someday. Stay tuned for more on our instagram account!🏀

Dear PPE-Community,
as the new academic year has started, we are looking for new committee members from all years.
You want to have fun, socialize, work on cool projects, and help shape our community?
Then we want you to apply for one of the following positions: chair, treasurer, secretary or member of a committee.

Application:

Send an email to: [email protected] in which you shortly introduce yourself, name the position you are applying for and write a short text about your motivation.

Deadline: Friday, September 11th.

What do committees do?
In committees, we meet regularly to organize and plan different events in the frame of our field.

The Academic Committee:
organizes academic-related events like guest lectures, presentations and more.

The Excursion Committee:
organizes trips and excursions. in the past, there was a hitchhiking competition to Luxemburg, trips to different European cities and ski trips.

The Fresher's Committee:
organizes the freshers weekend. Since it´s a new committee, new projects and purposes will develop.

The MUN Committee (new this year):
organizes our annual Modeled United Nations Conference

The Party-Committee:
makes sure that regularly we get to have Borrels (Bar-Partys) and other cool Parties

The Publication Committee:
creates posters for most events, prepares announcements, does the yearbook, in charge of the website

The Social Committee:
organizes social events like clothing swap parties, dinners, and guest lectures.

The Sports Committee (new this year):
orzanizes sports events for the PPE community such as different team sports, tournaments or other events.

In all committees there is freedom and flexibility to implement new events and ideas! We're really counting on you to become creative ;)

Hey everyone! We hope you had fun at the Intro-Days and started getting to know each other. But the fun doesn’t end there! Our Freshers’ Weekend continues Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of September! The ticket’s price will range around 20€ and 30€, depending on how many of you will join us, so please sign up to let us know as soon as possible so we can set the final price. The more, the merrier, and the cheaper the trip will be! The ticket includes transportation from Amsterdam Zuid to the beach, as well as lunch, snacks, and drinks.

"Hi, I'm Felix and I'm nominated to be your treasurer next year. I'm from Germany but have lived in the Netherlands for most of my life. Having worked with Bea and Maria already, I'm very excited to kick-off the next year of academic events, trips, and, of course, borrels. I'm looking forward to cooperating with the committees and to ensure that KallioPPE strengthens the bond in the PPE Community once more!"

"Hey everybody, I'm Max, your next External Officer!
I'm 20 years old and come from Germany. If you don't catch me on the fourth floor I am probably bouldering somewhere or making pancakes because that's about as far as my cooking skills go. I love socialising and meeting new people and I'm really looking forward to contributing to KallioPPE's further development and adding something valuable to the lives of all of you!

"Hello everyone!
My name is Xani , and I have the honour to soon be our Internal officer of Kallioppe. I grew up both on the african and european continent this experience shaped me profoundly and sparked in me the curiosity to understand and live different perspectives and experiences. Due to this I love engaging and interacting with people. Next year will be my second year at PPE, an agglomeration of interesting and thoughtful Students. As for that, through my board position I am looking forward to contribute to- and connect us students through different projects and events! Thanks for having me on board!

"Hi, my name is Maria and I’m nominated to become the new Secretary of KallioPPE.
I was Chair of the Party Committee this year and I loved organizing events that bring the PPE community closer together. I am very excited to be part of the new board, as our study association truly forms close bonds between all students and is an essential and - most importantly - super fun part of everyone’s daily PPE life. I’m hoping to make our association even more open and accessible as it already is (even during Corona times) and I’m looking forward to a great year with many new faces!"

"Heyy! I’m Bea and I have been nominated to become KallioPPE’s next President. I believe KallioPPE creates a wonderful community and experience within PPE, thanks to the board and the committees’ work and our dear members and fellow students. This is why I am honoured and grateful for the opportunity to be part of the next board. As the president of the executive board, I will give my best to run the association and develop it further, hoping that it can continue to be that very special as well as a fundamental part of PPE."

Dear all,

We hope you are all still healthy! Despite these weird times, the end of the school year is coming closer and with that the end of our board year too. So, do you have a vision on where KallioPPE is supposed to go? Are you creative, hard-working, and keen on doing something besides your studies? A board year extends your horizons and teaches you a lot. Additionally, you make great friends and even greater memories.

Do you see yourself as KallioPPE's next president, treasurer, secretary, internal, or external officer? Don't hesitate to apply by sending an email to [email protected]. In order to apply, you have to write a small motivation letter (approximately 100 words) and send out your resume. The applications are open until the 30th of April.
