For many of our graduates, the most valuable part of the journey was never only the technical skills. It was the people they met, the challenges they overcame together, and the confidence they built along the way.
So to everyone about to start their own Codam journey:
Trust the process.
Ask questions.
Help others.
Make mistakes.
Stay curious.
And most importantly: enjoy the experience. ๐คฉ

What if the talent you're looking for is being overlooked by traditional hiring?
The Dutch tech sector doesn't have a talent shortage.
It has a talent discovery problem.
Too often, hiring decisions are still shaped by degrees, credentials, and conventional career paths. As a result, capable people are overlooked while companies continue to struggle filling technical roles.
At Talent Day, you'll meet Codam students who prove that talent can come from anywhere.
People who have become software engineers through grit, curiosity, resilience, and a demonstrated ability to learn.
Codam is a peer-to-peer coding college where students learn by building, collaborating, solving complex challenges, and continuously teaching one another. The result is more than technical competence. Our students develop autonomy, adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly master new technologies.
These are the qualities that matter most in an industry being reshaped by AI.
The results speak for themselves: 97% of Codam graduates find employment within six months, and more than 190 companies have already hired Codam talent.
During Talent Day, you'll meet students through curated matchmaking sessions and informal networking opportunities.

THIS IS THE MOMENT: JUNE PISCINE๐ฅ๐
June 1st! Day 1! Beginning of a new journey!
A whole new group of students and now called โPiscinersโ just walked in ready to prove themselves. ๐
For 7 days- 4 weeks โPiscinersโ will
- push through when it gets uncomfortable
- fail and come back harder
- share their knowledge and learn from each other
Itโs the beginning of your journey! Show us your grit. GO GET IT. ๐โจ
Graduation Day may be over, but moments like these remind us that the Codam journey was never only about learning how to code.
In this clip, Alex reflects on one of the most challenging parts of studying at Codam: learning without traditional teachers or lectures. There is no step-by-step roadmap. Students are challenged to figure things out themselves, deal with uncertainty, ask questions, collaborate, make mistakes, and keep pushing forward.
That process can be frustrating at times. But for many students, it also becomes the moment where everything changes.
Because somewhere along the way, they stop waiting for answers and start trusting themselves to find them.
And that might be one of the most valuable lessons they take with them long after graduation.

LIVE Day 1 of our hackathon with Tracy Innovations is live. ๐
48 hours. Real data. Real deadlines. Real engineers watching what our students build.
This is one of many AI-focused events we have planned at Codam.
Our students don't just learn to code, they learn to build with AI, the way the industry actually works today.
That's not something extra we add on top. It's how they learn in the curriculum.
And every event like this one is proof of that.

A typical day at Codam doesn't look like learning. Not at first.
No roadmap. No instructor to flag you down when you're going the wrong direction. Just a problem, a screen, and whoever is sitting next to you.
Most of the day is iteration. Something breaks. You ask a peer how they approached it. You try again. Progress is invisible until suddenly it isn't.That's intentional.
Real engineering environments don't hand you defined problems and clean solutions. They hand you ambiguity and expect you to move anyway. Peer-to-peer teaching produces nearly 50% better retention than traditional methods precisely because figuring something out is categorically different from being told the answer.
What looks inefficient from the outside is the whole point.
The habits built in that process: working through uncertainty, communicating under pressure, not waiting to be unblocked. Those don't need to be trained on the job.
They already are.
Last Wednesday, May 13, we celebrated a new generation of Codam graduates.
Behind this moment are years of perseverance, self-doubt, growth, collaboration, and resilience. Every project, every failed attempt, every breakthrough, and every peer review brought you to this day.
Some of you started your journey during uncertain times and stayed committed all the way until this moment. Over the years, you watched Codam grow while growing alongside it yourselves. Different cohorts, different journeys, but all connected by the same determination to keep learning and moving forward.
At Codam, no one walks this journey alone. You lifted each other up, learned from one another, and proved that curiosity and persistence can take people further than they ever imagined.
Seeing all of you throw your caps into the air was a reminder of how far youโve come.
Not just as developers, but as people.
We could not be more proud of you.
Congratulations graduates. The future is yours.

Our Open Day is coming up, and if youโve ever wondered whether a future in tech could be for you, this is the moment to explore it. Not through brochures or promises, but by stepping into the community itself.
Meet students who started with zero experience. Discover how peer-to-peer learning works in practice. Experience the energy of a place built around curiosity, growth, and grit.
Codam is not a traditional school. Itโs a place where people from completely different backgrounds come together to challenge themselves, learn by building, and unlock opportunities they never thought possible.
Come explore. Get inspired. Your future in tech might start sooner than you think.
Join us on May 23 and experience Codam for yourself. Walk through the campus, meet the community, and discover what happens when talent gets the space to grow.

Next week, you can experience what learning at Codam really feels like during ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐.
You can read about tech education online for hours, but nothing compares to seeing it for yourself. That is exactly why we created Shadowing Day at Codam.
On May 21st, you will not just visit Codam for a presentation or quick tour. During Shadowing Day, you will experience what learning at Codam actually feels like by spending the afternoon alongside current students.
See how students work on projects together, experience the atmosphere on campus and discover how peer-to-peer learning works in practice.
Whether you are considering a career switch, questioning your current studies or simply curious about tech, Shadowing Day helps you discover if this environment could be the right fit for you.
Shadowing Day is happening next week and spots are limited, so make sure to sign up while you still can.

You do not need a computer science degree or years of coding experience to start building a future in tech. Many Codam students started exactly where you might be now: uncertain about their future, considering a career switch or looking for a different kind of education.
