At STORM, our financial systems are the engine that enables us to power forward. We are searching for a qualified treasurer to help keep STORM’s finances meticulously correct and powerfully informative. The treasurer will have both an immediate and lasting impact on our association, helping us to strategize savings and spendings, and update committees with crucial information. STORM is committed to serving both members and volunteers in the best way possible, and it starts with keeping our own finances accurately reported, meticulously organized, and vitally strategic.
Responsibilities
Gather all necessary reports and detailed support both periodically and on demand, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, revenue forecasts and budgets
Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to verify all entries have been created and posted, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and cohesiveness of information.
Handling APs, making payment documentation, taking care of outstanding bills, sending out of invoices to companies, and conducting reimbursements.
At the end of your board year you will have learned how to manage a company’s money and ensure that it stays afloat throughout the year so if this is something that interests you apply to become the next board.

As the chair, you are in charge of overseeing the board itself, as well as being the main representative of STORM. Internally, you are tasked with leading the weekly board meetings and the general assemblies. Externally, you are the bridge between the association and the higher ups of VU, where during monthly meetings you can raise your concerns and make life better for STORM itself. Don’t forget to keep an eye on your fellow board members! We want them as motivated and hardworking as they can be so don't be shy and talk to them a lot. If you feel like you can handle what being the chair(wo)man of STORM brings, sign up and keep up the image of our great association.

Are you an outgoing, sharp, and independent person? Are you good with contracts and meeting new people? Can you lead a meeting but also fulfill the necessities of a company? Then you might be who we are looking for as the new External Relations Commissioner for STORM.
In this position, you will play a key role in gathering sponsorships and keeping track of our current and possible future collaborations that are present in STORM’s pipeline.
What you’ll do:
Attend meetings with the various companies that we collaborate with (Adyen, Deloitte, and PWC, are a few examples)
Sign and keep track of ongoing contracts
Update our brochure with promotional opportunities according to the current trends in the market
Organize company events
Organize the STORM annual Career Fair
Analyze data from previous promotional campaigns, and figure out ways to improve
What skills will you gather:
Networking and communication skills, learn how to pitch an idea and put it into practice
Accompany companies end-to-end through an event
Understand the importance of marketing, promotion, and timing
Marketing data analysis

Are you organised, do you enjoy having an overview of everything and do you hold the world-record for fast typing? Then becoming the next secretary of STORM sounds like the perfect opportunity for you! The secretary is responsible for all correspondence involving STORM, maintaining the member database and taking minutes during meetings. This means getting the mail (both physical and digital), keeping the agenda updated and writing the minutes of the board meetings. Consequently, you'll gain an overview of what's going on at STORM! You are also responsible for the monthly mailing. Where you'll tell all the members of STORM what fun activities we're going to have, so you are the bringer of good news!

Let’s start with a short explanation: The Vice-Chair(wo)man's main responsibility is to replace the Chairman when they are not there. But in general, those are very rare cases, so being a vice-chairman usually means that you are everywhere and everything. This helps to keep the board and the Chairman in check, help whenever help is needed, and fill the gaps that open up. This requires quite a lot of self-control and flexibility, but if you enjoy such a challenge this position is for you! However, this flexibility and stress-handling might come into effect if the Chairman is not able to be around, so you have to be prepared to step in just in case.
In addition to being a part of the board, you also give a little bit more attention to committees, and maybe take up more miscellaneous tasks. This gives you more freedom to showcase and implement your ideas for STORM.
In short, if you like being responsible, and you are flexible and full of ideas to add to STORM, become a Vice-Chair(wo)man!
