Did you know that failure is necessary to learn and grow?

Next time when you fail at something, try to focus on what the journey has brought to you, what you’ve learnt and what the biggest finding was.

This way, we concentrate on the experience and the knowledge rather than a failure. We’re not always perfect and we just need to accept that. 😊

Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

Outer peace starts with a peace within. Let us all create a Peace Day everyday!

Tiokasin Ghosthorse is a New York treasure. Tiokasin is an international speaker on Peace, Indigenous and Mother Earth perspective and a master musician and a teacher of magical, ancient and modern sounds. His voice, as a member of the Cheyenne River Lakota Nation, is a reminder to all who hear him that there is no “I”, only “We”, and that when we live in that reality with that language, peace is no longer at a distance.

Master Hoshino is one of the remaining Yamabushi, a practicing monk who lives by time-honored traditions and trains others in the art of mountain worship. He lives in Daishobo, a pilgrim lodging in the shadows of Mount Haguro, one of the three mountains of Dewa. This is where Hoshino introduces the concepts of Shugendo to his willing pupils, starting with traditional vegetarian monks’ meals, before delving into physical and spiritual training within the mountains. It is a celebration of a religion and lifestyle stretching over fourteen hundred years.

Let’s talk about zen eating.😌

The idea is simple: Eat your food as slow as you can, savoring each bite, and taking deep breaths between each bite. This way your blood sugar rises before you finish your plate and you'll end up eating less. If you can train yourself to do it, it really does work. And, by slowing down to eat, mealtimes actually end up being more relaxing, too. ☀️
