Lydia van Rietschote is the president of INESPO’s steering committee! She studied Linguistics at the VU in Amsterdam, her hometown, and worked in education for many years. Lydia also worked at the Ministry of Education, and a few years ago, she took on some administrative tasks at the Ministry of Health. One of those tasks was the presidency of the sound board group for the ‘Nieuwe Donorwet’. During her career, she has also been a supervisor in education and healthcare institutions.

Lydia has been a member of the jury at INESPO since 2011. She decided to stay involved with the further developments of INESPO because of the positive energy it gave her, and because of the belief in connecting and innovating the educational curriculum. INESPO lets students and teachers from different disciplines work together to create one project.

She believes in more say for students, and INESPO’s approach makes this happen.
