One of the perks of being on the board of a studyassociation is that you get invited to official events such as the opening of the brand new and impressive University Library. Drinks, snacks, speeches, music and good company. It was a privilege to be there!

Well, that was an afternoon well spend! Our visit to Vos Kosher Catering was an absolute delight. Besides being very interesting and informative, we were also completely spoiled with yummy treats and drinks as well as a chocolaty farewell gift🤗. The picture show the separate kitchens, including the kitchen ready for Pesach (picture 6), which of course we did not enter to avoid the risk of contamination.

The city of Amsterdam celebrates her 750th birthday. This birthday combined with the traditional yearly Festival of Lights, plus the holiday of Chanuka and Xmas, which this year happen to be on the exact same date, made it an excellent outing for the members of our Hebrew studyassociation

We went on a tour through De Jordaan, with 400 years in age, one of the oldest neighborhoods of Amsterdam. We learned of its turbulent history of this working-class area, know as the slums of Amsterdam. We solved the mystery of the lost houses and of course learned about the terrible war and the hideouts of people desperate to survive.
We had an interesting but most of all fun afternoon!
