🌿 Exciting progress in regenerative agriculture! 🌾 The Regenerative Regional Entrepreneurship Program with the Paiter Suruí community is progressing in restoring the local ecosystem, promoting sustainable farming, and supporting local communities. 🌱🌍
Working on regenerating 1M hectares of land worldwide while ensuring food security for 10M farmers & local communities. With farmers, communities, businesses & industries, reNature regenerates 1M ha of land worldwide through Agroforestry. By designing & implementing model farms and creating educational centres, reNature tackles climate change while providing food and income for farmers and communities.
Monoculture conventional farming practises have depleted 1.9 billions of hectares worldwide and next generation of farmers are no longer attractive to farming. In oder to change that, a more regenerative farming practise is needed, therefore our goal is to co-design between businesses and industries a cross-sector commodity Agroforestry production. For example, plant the cocoa that a chocolate company needs, shaded by the palm oil that another aromatics company needs. Shaded cocoa gives high-quality cocoa and palm oil likes a companion plant, therefore a multi-cropping system can benefit two different businesses. Besides providing beneficial ecosystem services, they would improve farmers health by decreasing the amount of agrochemicals and still generate more profit in the long-term.
We are now developing a portfolio of regenerative commodity production so that we can offer transitional packages for companies & industries scale their production units. We are focusing on commodities like: soybean, palm oil, cattle, cocoa, coffee, cotton, rubber & timber.
reNature aims at making Regenerative Agroforestry mainstream and has teams in Netherlands, Indonesia & Brazil, and over 500 volunteers. Our mission is to reNature.
