Rare Burgundy from Domaine William Kelley, offered in our upcoming auction.

Known as a leading wine critic and Deputy Editor of The Wine Advocate, Kelley also produces his own wines from a small domaine in Pommard. After gaining experience at Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Jean-Louis Chave, he began making wine under his own name in 2018.

Featured are Gevrey-Chambertin ‘Aux Etelois’ 2021 & 2023, Chambolle-Musigny ‘Les Fouchères’ 2022 and Bourgogne Rouge 2022.

The auction goes this weekend, ahead of the live auction on September 13.

Domaine René Engel sets the tone with two bottles from Vosne-Romanée: Échezeaux Grand Cru 1996 and Les Brulées 1er Cru 1995. With 2004 marking the final vintage of this legendary domaine, mature bottles of Engel have become increasingly rare glimpses into a domaine that no longer exists…

From Gevrey-Chambertin, Armand Rousseau 1996 shows another side of the Côte de Nuits: a village wine from one of Burgundy’s most celebrated producers, shaped by the freshness and precision of the 1996 vintage.

And from Chambolle-Musigny, Comte Georges de Vogüé 1995 and 1996 offers a rare opportunity to compare two consecutive vintages: the more structured 1995 next to the fresher, more refined 1996.
