Em março falei para 2000 pessoas na Convenção anual da ERA Portugal.

Foi um prazer ser apresentado pela fantástica Catarina Furtado.

A Catarina disse, em frente a toda a audiência:

— O Ricardo é introvertido.

Fiquei surpreendido e perguntei:

— Como é que descobriste?

Ela respondeu:

— Percebi porque eu própria sou introvertida.

Ser introvertido/a ou extrovertido/a não tem a ver com o facto de falarmos para muitas pessoas ou sermos percepcionados como confiantes.

A introversão ou extroversão não tem tanto a ver com gostar mais ou menos do lado social ou com ser melhor ou pior a nível social.

Tem sobretudo a ver com a forma como recarregamos energia e como nos relacionamos com o mundo à nossa volta.

Ser introvertido/a significa que recuperamos energia quando estamos sozinhos ou com pessoas com quem nos sentimos 100% à vontade.

Estar com pessoas faz parte do meu trabalho e adoro isso.

Adoro conversar, partilhar momentos e tirar fotografias com toda a gente.

Mas também é algo que me retira energia.

No final de um dia de palestra, depois de falar para muitas pessoas, é no silêncio, sozinho ou com a minha família, que recupero energia.

Ser extrovertido/a significa o contrário.

Ganhar energia através da interação com outras pessoas e perder energia quando se está sozinho.

Perceber isto ajuda-nos a gerir melhor a nossa energia e a estarmos no nosso melhor no dia a dia.

Let’s not wait for the future of work to happen to us.
Let’s be the ones who create it. Together.

I had the honor of closing the Horizon Summit in Amsterdam, surrounded by some of the brightest minds in HR from around the world.

During one session, the speaker shared something that really stuck with me.

Some HR professionals are saying:

“If AI does all the admin work I do now… what will I do?”

That question says a lot.
Because AI isn’t here to replace HR.
It’s here to set HR free.

Free from admin.

Free to do what humans do best: connect, inspire, lead.

As AI takes on the tasks, HR will rise to shape the culture.
To build trust.
To drive engagement.

No technology can replace a meaningful one-to-one conversation.

That’s where real impact happens.

And on a personal note, I also moderated a panel for the first time.

It was honest, fun, and full of energy.

What if I fail? What if I’m not good enough?
These thoughts stopped me for years.
Until I learned how to stop them.
I told myself I didn’t have time.
That I’d start when I felt more ready.
That making videos wasn’t really my thing.
But the truth? It wasn’t about time. It was about fear.
Fear of failing.
Fear of being judged.
Fear that my skills weren’t good enough.
Which is ironic—because I’ve spoken on stages to thousands of people around the world.
I’ve even been the lead singer of a rock band.
And yet, sitting in front of a camera? That felt different.
No audience to engage with. No energy in the room. No instant feedback.
I hesitated. Not because I didn’t know how to speak.
But because I was afraid.
So I applied the exact emotional intelligence strategy I teach from stage.
Challenge Automatic Negative Thoughts
“What if I fail?" → "What if I succeed?”

"What if they don't like me?" → "Some people won't like me, and that's okay."

"I don't have the skills needed." → "Skills come with practice."

"I don't have time." → "I will make time for what matters."

"I'll do it tomorrow." → "Tomorrow I'll celebrate completing this task."

Our thoughts create our reality. By reframing these limiting beliefs, I finally recorded my first content video.
So, let me ask you:

What thoughts are stopping YOU from doing what you know you need to do?
Challenge them. Change them. And just go for it. 🚀

Trust and Transparency were two of the main topics I addressed in my Workshop for APC by Schneider Electric in Lisbon, Portugal.

Business is fundamentally built on trust.

We buy from those we trust and build meaningful relationships with them and customers choose companies they trust.

According to the Edelman Trust Barometer, 81% of consumers decide what to buy based on whether they trust a brand to act responsibly.

During my Workshop, we had fun with some activities and games emphasizing the importance of transparency and trust in leaders' and teams' performance.
