Our first ever ‘Prague- a European Story’ course comes to an end. It has been such a joy to learn together and experience this city’s heritage with such a wonderful, receptive, enthusiastic group of teachers from Lithuania, Croatia and Greece.
Art, theatre, music, walking (approx 50 km in total!) and visiting numerous museums and historical sites that make up this city’s multilayered identity at the heart of European history. All of this and plenty of space for laughter! Most importantly though: we learned to appreciate and celebrate what we all have in common….which is so very much more than what divides us. ✌🏻

Penultimate day here in Prague, spent learning about some of the city’s most difficult periods in 20th century history. Impossible to understand this city within a wider European framework without delving into its darkest hours. It creates a truer appreciation of what we see around us today. ⛓❤️

Day 3 in Prague, learning about the city’s Jewish heritage and leaving the city in search of Kafka and Brownerova. Autumn beauty all around us and a feeling of unity growing between us. A chain begins to appear…for which we are grateful ❤️🙏🏻

To the notes of Smetana we flowed down the Vltava river…translating poetry and having a splendid lunch. Earlier, in the morning, we enjoyed Alphonse Mucha’s iconic work at the Mucha Museum…his legacy echoes to this day all over Europe and the World. And we ended the afternoon at Montmartre literary cafe, preparing the dialogues we’ll be bringing to life later this week. All interspersed with interesting reflections on this city’s extraordinary heritage, walking and plenty of laughter!
