Big news!

Over the past few months, we’ve been working incredibly hard behind the scenes, and now we can finally share it officially here on Instagram. Some of you may have already spotted it in our stories… but Noord see Lights is now also available at in Zaandam! 🎉

It feels like such a huge and exciting step for us. Seeing our lamps in a shop that inspires so many creative interiors feels surreal in the best possible way.

If you decide to visit, please let us know. And we’d absolutely love to see it through your eyes so we appreciate every tag, story, and message you share with us.

Our mission doesn’t stop at our own designs.

At Noord see Lights, we believe it’s time to bring creativity back into people’s homes. In a world shaped by mass production,where everything starts to look the same, it’s often the things you create yourself that feel the most meaningful.
That’s why we built our design tool. A space where you can create a lamp that truly reflects your taste, your style, and your interior.

But our mission goes beyond this: a collaborative lesson program at the Metis Montessori Lyceum. Over the coming months, 60 students will work in teams to design their own sustainable lamp.

First, they dive into the world of the circular economy. Because being a designer today means asking deeper questions:
What materials do you choose?
How do you design for sustainability?
And which production methods fit a future where we treat resources with care?

From there, the creative journey begins.
Exploring ideas. Sketching concepts. Experimenting with form.
Step by step, moving from a first thought to a fully personal design.

We think that’s pretty fun.
We can’t wait to see what will emerge in the coming months the sketches, the process, the unexpected ideas, and the final presentations where everything comes together.
For now, we wish all students one thing above all: enjoy the process of creating.
And a special thank you to Frans Roukes, for making this project possible and for trusting us to guide these young designers on their journey.

Our Blue Wulk found its place right there, among inspiring concepts that encourage you to dare, to explore, and to design more personally.

Noord see lights is more than just design, a design language.You decide on the shape, colour, and appearance, while we ensure quality, craftsmanship and circular production.

This lamp is designed by Julius. Made with our Noord see Lights Design tool. As this one is especially made for Julius he has an unique design piece in his house in Berlin.

The inspiration comes from the North Sea: its patterns, and shapes are translated into designs that radiate calm, strength, and playfulness. Each lamp is locally crafted in Amsterdam, using circular and plant-based materials that are both aesthetically refined and future-proof. The result is personalised lighting, perfectly tailored to your interior that contributes to a more sustainable world.
