So we had to say goodbye to this amazing young lady this week, as she begins the next chapter of her life and goes on to have some new adventures. She was the first student (along with her sister) to join our very first junior classes, and has worked hard ever since. She grew up with us, and followed us when we opened our own dojo. We really have no idea what having a dojo without her is like. She’s been a hard working, dedicated, serious but fun student, and recently has been teaching and sharing her knowledge with others. We are so sad to see her go, although we are very excited to see what the future holds for her. you’ll always have a home with us, we’re so very proud of you. Good luck and we can’t wait to see you again. Safe travels ♥️ love from us all at Zenjyokan, and especially from me! Jinsei Shinkendo

First session where we were allowed indoors (small groups) again! We currently don't have a home so we made an office space work.

“We grasp the sword to change our own lives. In doing so, we may perhaps change the lives of others as well. In this way, the study of swordsmanship is no different than it was centuries ago, and no less important.”
- Obata Kaiso, Modern Bushido

Great to be training again. Even if it's in smaller groups, in the freezing cold and with much more distance. Shinkendo is also about adapting. Adapting to the new normal and making the best out of a bad situation.
