There's a process of life, which is called calcination. Basically, this is about heating a substance in a crucible or over an open flame until it is reduced to ashes. The white ash that remains is the purified physical matter, that provides the ultimate nutrient for new life to emerge.

On a personal psycho-physiological level it is the destruction of ego and our attachments to material possessions. Usually a not an all too pleasant experience, but ultimately very nutritive & regenerative to every cell of our being.

This process of being purified by fire happens on all levels in life; personal, community & planetary. While many focus on the discomfort of the experience, desperately clinging to the old, an easier-to-go-about perspective is that this process simply is necessary to purify ourselves from the superficial, the dross.

Rest assured. These times have never been new, as spring always follows. They lead to a complete new re-appreciation and recalibration to life. It provides a wonderful opportunity to liberate ourselves and clearly see what inner & outer parts need re-adjustment.

Inner Ecology is about taking care of your own organism; your body, mind and spirit. Once you realize that what you embody is of the same constitutional elements as everything else on Earth, you step from a two-dimensional cognitive view of the world into truly becoming Human on Earth. This is where inner & outer ecology merge.

A clean up process is often necessary to realign to the natural force, due to our daily distractions and stressful lives. During our retreat in March, we will support our transformation with freshly tapped juice of the Birch! This tree, also called Lady of the Woods, is known for restoring damaged ecosystems.

Following the principle of empathetic correspondence, it does the same to our organism. The result of this rigorous cleanse result is clarity of body, emotion & mind.

Beings of the Earth.

When you spend longer time in nature, your body aligns to a natural cycle. Just like plants & other animals colleagues, we have a biological clock. The Circadian Rhythm, regulating our sleep-waking cycle. How does this work?

The light of the Sun passes through out retina and a couple of nerves to signal the pineal gland to excrete hormones to the pituitary body. Which in turn steers our physiology and behaviour (growth, reproduction, metabolism, water cycles, etc...). We are truly beings from the Earth.

These glands form the driver seat of our subconscious mind, that is to say, if you decide not to override it with thoughts that you cultivated or inherited in your neocortex. The glands have a direct connection to the heart.

Strengthening the ties between the two using intention and attention brings about a complete transformation of your body & health. In alchemy this process is called "The Marriage of the King & Queen". Nowadays, we would call it balancing your feminine & masculine, or feeling & thinking, although this does not necessarily include a psycho-biophysical transformation.

For many of us, the Circadian Rhythm is disturbed. Through daily stress, bad eating & sleep patterns. For optimal health, clarity of thought & sensing, it is important to rebalance this cycle.
