Heyy! My name is Batuhan and I am currently studying Masters in Private Law.

Contributing to the faculty means for me contributing to the future. With an inspired attitude, I would like to stand up for the interests of the students in my final year of study. As a complaints officer, I am willing to roll up my sleeves for the students. More specific, I want to commit myself to students who encounter certain issues within the Faculty of Law. ✍🏼 Thereby is the interest of the student my priority!

I'm Vita Samsom, 22 years old and I'm in my final year of the bachelors Law and Notarial law. ⚖️ Over the past few years I've been really active within the law faculty. You’ve probably seen a WhatsApp text from me passing by, since I’m in almost all the existing study related group chats of this faculty 😜

This year I am Coordinator PR / Marketing, which means that I am in charge of presenting the FSR to the outside world. So everything you will see popping up about the FSR on social media, posters, flyers, et cetera, is made by me! 🫶🏼

Here are some fun facts about me:

1. I can do the splits in gymnastics 🤸🏽‍♀️
2. When I was still living with my parents, I used to have alpacas 🦙

Hi everyone 🤗!

My name is Najoua and I’m a 2nd year law student and the Vrije Universiteit! I will be the secretary of the faculty student council of Law.

My passion for human rights and politics, which was evident from a young age, led me to my studies. Last year, as a first-year student, I saw how promising our university is. At the same time, I also see how this is not experienced by all students. I want to ensure that space for such discussions is possible, so that improvements within our faculty can be made. As a student council member, I want to commit myself to these solutions and I hope to bridge the gap between the university and the students ✨.

1. Watching movies or tv series is a huge hobby of mine. No actually, you’ve come to the right place for a chat about films and series!
2. Just like my other fellow council members drinking coffee is a guilty pleasure of mine.
3. I tend to overuse the voice memo option on whatsapp with my close friends- we have a running joke and call them “mini podcasts”.

My name is Linda, I’m 20 years old and currently a third year student of the bachelor Law in Society at the VU. This year I will be the treasurer of the student council of the law faculty. 💰

I have been actively involved within the law faculty for the past year. It became evident to me that there were a lot of aspects of the law faculty that could be improved. However, last year I lacked the feeling that I could actually change and improve things. 💚 As a result, I ran for the student council, hoping I would get the chance to do so.

On a less serious note, here are three random facts about me :))

On top of my bucketlist right now is to go skydiving

I am a theatre kid and I have taken theater classes for six years

I prefer handwritten notes, but it takes me much longer

Hello sunshines! ✨

I’m Guul Akyuz, a 3th year law student at the Vrije Universiteit. I will be the vice-chair of the student council of our beautiful law faculty.

Last years I’ve seen that law courses are mainly focused on learning by rote, which for me resulted in forgetting most of the material right after the exam. As a council member I aim to change this and make courses more practice-oriented. Because we all deserve it to enter the labor market well prepared!

Let me introduce myself!

I am Colin Naipal, a 4th year law student at the VU. This year I am the chair of the faculty student council of of law.

Last year I was a board member of our faculty association. Because of this, I realized how much the sense of community at our faculty could be improved, especially when compared to other faculties. This is in short why I entered the elections to become a council member. 🙌🏼

Oh and of course three fun facts about me!

1. I have a coffee addiction
2. One of my favourite activities to do in my spare time is baking, but I do not have an oven
