๐ฉ๐ช German is supposed to be one of the hardest languages to learn. But here's a surprising statistic: 96 of the 100 most common English words are actually Germanic, i.e. they're often very similar to German. That means English speakers already know more German vocabulary than they think.
In my experience, focusing on learning German grammar keeps people from realising the many ways in which German is surprisingly similar to English, and often much simpler and logical than English, French or Spanish, since it uses more native German and fewer Greek words, which makes it easier to learn new words.
