Kathleen Delaney has been following her interests in the Arts, Music and in Performance Practices since early adolescence, traveling to Paris, New York and Amsterdam to train and view arts, dance and music being (re)presented. Since her 20's she has been performing internationally. She holds a MA in Art, Music and Performance Studies from the University of Bologna, Italy. She focused her studies o

n philosophy, aesthetics and semiotics. What made a difference in her life has certainly been the training and practice of the Alexander Technique - certification obtained in 2009 at ATCA, Amsterdam. Since then, she teaches Body Awareness at the most important Music Institutes and Conservatories all over Italy and teaches Masterclasses internationally. Her focus is on how the awareness of movement, thought and rhythm create change in any performance, in daily life or on stage. She also gives private and group lessons for children (Stichting Lo Stivaletto) and to anyone interested in the Technique,. As a mother of two, she experienced the Benefits of the Alexander method during and after pregnancy, and has developed a special program for women. She is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
