The truth is that weight loss is a journey, it took you time to gain the weight and it will take you time to lose it...
I remember when I was trying to lose weight it was always an uphill battle fueled by caffeine and willpower.
I NEED TO stick to only eating veggies
I NEED TO eat protein
I NEED TO do these workouts
I NEED TO say no to donuts
This would work for around 1 month, well even 2 months sometimes if I was really good about it but then the inevitable would happen...
I would lose willpower, my work would get too busy or I would just lose the motivation as my results weren't what I wanted it to be.
This was a big struggle for years, always yoyoing between achieving my goal and then regressing back to them.
The truth was that I needed to find a more temporary solution so I began to look into it and found that it was something that I wasn't expecting...
Fun.
I realized that all my attempts in the past were based on guilt, shame, and an overall lack of appreciation of how I felt.
Connecting the dots I realized that was exactly why I was pre-maturely stopping all my workouts and routines.
I wasn't having fun. The lack of fun was translating to a lack of results as it didn't allow me to stick at it for long enough to actually see the results that I was working so hard for.
I changed my approach and switched my focus from 'working hard and grinding' to 'finding fun and enjoyment of being active' and the results speak for themselves I haven't had to worry about my extra weight for over 5 years now.

Donโt overwhelm yourself. Reduce your expectations and just start with the first step. Once youโve lost your first kg you can then move onto your next. Small wins = Big wins.
Biting off more than you can chew will leave you unmotivated and frustrated.

The struggle of weight loss is never that it's not possible, it's just hard to keep it up consistently.
Everyone can lose 1kg, 2kg or even 5kg. The real problem is keeping the weight off forever.
I wanted to address how to overcome this in todays post so that you can hopefully have as much success as my clients do.
The best way to create long term sustainability with weight-loss is to not think of it as a means to an end but rather as a lifestyle change.
Whenever you see something as 'temporary' you will in-return treat it as such.
๐ Doing liquid diets
๐ Stop eating carbs
๐ Train every day
๐ Spend all your time walking
๐ Say no to all your favourite foods...
These are all 'quick solutions' that help you lose weight fast but they won't get you all the way to where you need to be and they won't help you stay there forever...
Carbs are way too good, it almost seems like a criminal offense to put those on hault haha
What you want to focus on for sustainable weight-loss is not the 'do this/ don't do this' approach (Temporary af lol) rather you want to learn how to find an approach that suits you, your preferences and way of life.
In the end any diet does or does not work only depending on one thing. Who is it for.
Someone who loves keto and never misses carbs should then stick to that! Putting them on a high carb/ high protein diet (even if it is more optimal) will only lead to them being frustrated and doing it temporarily.
What you need is your lifestyle to be perfectly balanced with the right foods and workout plan so it adds to your life, and then allows you to keep it up long term!
So many people come to me thinking they need a diet plan but really what they need to do is change habits, stop thinking it's as simple as eating a salad and even at times, eating more donuts ๐

You ultimately succeed or fail depending on one thing. How your approach allows you to live your life and also achieve your goal at the same time.โฃโฃ

Look great naked as a busy professional 101 ๐ฅ
1.) Weight train 3x per week full body
2.) Eat at a slight caloric deficit
3.) Consume complex carbohydrates and have enough protein
4.) Walk 5000+ steps per day
5.) Practice intermittent fasting daily
6.) Drink 3L of water per day
7.) Eat your veggies
8.) Have one cheat meal every week which is rich in Sugar
