Renshinjuku kendo dojo (錬心塾剣道) is één van Nederland’s succesvolle dojo voor “de weg van het zwaard". Wij zijn gevestigd in Amstelveen.
Founded in 1988 by Bert Heeren, Renshinjuku kendo dojo (錬心塾剣道) has grown to be one of the Netherlands’ most popular dojo for “the way of the sword”. While training in Japan, Bert Heeren was asked by Furuya-sensei (古谷先生) to start a dojo in the Netherlands. I have to inform you with deep sadness that Roelof Roosterman sensei had passed away on 12July 2023 at the age of 83.
He was active Kendoka for over 49 years and been sensei of RSJ for long long years.
May he rest in peace.
Machi-sensei, who is a sensei of RSJ, had passed 6th dan at her first try!
Congratulations Machi-sensei!

12th November 2022 was the last training day of Miwa-san.
Not only was he good at kendo, but he also led the RSJ members with his cheerful character.
We are sure to miss you very much, but I know we will see each other again, because as long as we are doing kendo, we are friends!

Some of Renshinjuku junior members had participated in an did Shiai and keiko, and they did a great job!

Kendo Summer Seminar in Amsterdam 2022!
RSJ members had participated the seminar and trained very hard with lots of Kendo friends and learned a lot from awwsome Senseis from Japan!

Daily clips of Renshinjuku training.
We had wonderful training on Saturday with guests from Den Haag and Museido, and had small drink party to celebrate all those who had passed exam since last September.
We could not have such kind of opportunity because of covid-19 but now all went back as usual!

Today there held Dan/ Kyu exam at Sporthallen de Pijp.
From Renshinjuku, 2 junior members passed Shodan (1st Dan) and 1 passed 5th Dan. And also our Kendo friends from other Dojo, who often participated in RSJ training, passed.
We are very proud of you and it is our pleasure that we can train with you!
