🔲 60-Metre Apex Concept

This design by Mulder Design presents the Apex Concept, a 60-metre motor yacht. Both the naval architecture and exterior styling have been developed entirely in-house by the Dutch design studio.

The Apex Concept has been developed around a performance-oriented brief. Twin MTU 20V4000M93L main engines deliver a combined output of 8,600 kW (11,532 hp), enabling a top speed of 28 knots at light load.

The yacht is capable of a high-speed cruising speed of 22 knots, while at a long-range cruising speed of 12 knots the vessel achieves a range of 4,500 nautical miles, positioning the Apex Concept firmly within the extended deep-water passage segment.

The aluminium hull and superstructure measure 60.00 metres in length, with a beam of 10.70 metres and a draught of 2.60 metres. Onboard accommodation is provided for 12 guests and 14 crew. The interior design may be fully tailored to the owner’s wishes.

🔲 MY Ursus has received a Judges' Commendation in the Rebuilt Yachts category at the 21st BOAT International World Superyacht Awards in Venice, and we couldn't be prouder.

Relaunched in 2025, M/Y Ursus is a remarkable transformation, preserving the yacht's original charm while significantly enhancing her capabilities. Built by Balk Shipyard with naval architecture and design by Mulder Design, this two-year rebuild delivered one incredible result.

We are delighted to announce that M/Y Ursus has been nominated in the Rebuilt Yachts category at the World Superyacht Awards 2026, the most coveted recognition in the global superyacht industry, recognised across the industry for its integrity and prestige.

The nomination is a tribute to an extraordinary collaboration between Balk Shipyard and Mulder Design, who together transformed Ursus into something truly exceptional. Over the course of 18 months, the yacht was extended by six metres to a sleek 30-metre vessel, with her bow and stern completely reimagined. The result is a yacht that feels entirely new, yet retains the soul of the original — a balance that is as rare as it is beautiful.

Defined by strong horizontal lines and layered exterior volumes, this design balances a powerful expedition profile with refined elegance. At 50 meters in length with a 10-meter beam, the yacht offers generous spatial flow across all decks, creating light-filled interiors and expansive outdoor living areas.

A steel hull and aluminium superstructure provide the foundation for global cruising, while a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles enable true long-distance exploration. Designed to host up to 12 guests with accommodation for 10–13 crew, every element supports comfort, autonomy, and seamless operation.

From the integrated helicopter deck option to the spacious tender and toy storage, this concept is crafted around versatility, allowing owners to move effortlessly between remote destinations and refined onboard living.

🔲 Al Dhaen DB 380SC Makes European Debut at boot Düsseldorf

Bas Mulder of Mulder Design will present the design philosophy behind the new DB 380SC centre console at the press conference this Sunday, January 18th—the first model in an exciting collaboration with Al Dhaen Boats.

This offshore-capable centre console marks the beginning of a new model range spanning 25 to 56 feet, combining performance, comfort, and thoughtful design.
