A group of young musicians between 9 and 16 years old, sharing one beautiful thing: a real love for making music together. Watching them dive into a rhythmically challenging piece – with chops, groove and lots of energy – was simply fantastic.
And the most impressive part? They played completely without a conductor, listening to each other, breathing together and shaping the music as a real ensemble. So much focus, courage and musicality at such a young age.
Moments like this remind me why making music together is so special. Proud teacher today! ❤️🎶 #

Trots op de prestaties van mijn leerlingen bij Nederlands Vioolconcours en het Prinses Christina Concours. Fantastisch en leerzaam om samen met de leerlingen naar deze momenten toe te werken. ✨ Summer School VioolLab String Ensemble 2025 ✨
Seven years ago, I started with a dream: a Summer School for my string ensemble. In the beginning, we were happy with just a couple of pieces – and now look at them!
This summer, our youngest players, from 7 years old, performed a menuet by Lully. The 10- and 12-year-olds shone in Telemann for four violins. Students who have been with us since the very start played the Vivaldi Quartet for four violins and the Böhm Quartet. The ensemble as a whole tackled mature repertoire by Moberg and Respighi, Madetoja, Vivaldi and Torelli!
A special highlight: our violinists also learned to play viola and read alto clef – including our youngest violist, only 8 years old, who played all the repertoire effortlessly!
After a week of intensive rehearsals and ensemble work, they gave a fantastic concert yesterday. I am still speechless. 💜🎶
From a dream to reality – what an ensemble we have in the heart of the Netherlands!
