"The joy of practice"
Next week 24th of October on friday evening at we are meeting for our annual XXL class "Hatha, Nidra and Meditation".
It is a very special class to me, because it's dedicated to experiencing Yoga practice in the most wholesome, integrated way that resonates on all levels: physical, mental and spiritual. The XXL class gives us time, full 2,5 hours to explore all layers of yoga, beyond movement and breath.
I often try to find a theme that will lead us through the practice. Those themes get sometimes quite specific and technical, I am a natural borne teacher and I really want everybody to learn as much as possible.
B U T . . .
..recently I had this reflection that we can simply enjoy the practice as it comes. We don't need to always search for new, go deeper or further in our abilities, deal with the trauma or learn about anatomy.
We can simply enjoy Yoga practice, because it's pleasant, because it's nice, because it feels good to move, to breathe, to relax ๐ especially now when it gets a bit dark, gloomy and cold.
So let's enjoy being together, sharing energy, space and deep passion and love for yoga and see what comes from it.
That being said the practice will still dive deep, but we will approach it from the place of joy, happiness and greatfulness for our abilities.

. . I'm writing a new special script for Yoga Nidra. It will be focused of revoking joy, happiness, love and kindess within. From there the true calmness can unfold.
I will record it and everyone who joins the class will receive a copy to enrich your own home practice:)

I am bringing yet another voice workshop to Bindi:)
You have probably noticed that since about a year I started to create and bring out more and more voice practices. Why?
I am not a trained musician, I can't read music but singing and sound making has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. And it's probably one of the greatest pleasures of my life.
When I was 17 years old I got introduced via my school to the amazing people, actors and singers, who have taken voice work into another level. In their practice they used the voice as a tool to increase awareness, strenghten mind & body connection and connect to the inner Self. Sounds familiar??:)
Young me didn't really understand any of this - I just enjoyed singing and all the physical practices that came with it. I really loved how it made me feel: full and complete.
After moving to NL I let this voice practice go, as here it is fairly non-existent and I needed teachers who would guide me. I turned all my attention to yoga.
After nearly 15 years of regular yoga practice I focus now less on the asanas, spending most of the time discovering the rich world of pranayama and breath awareness. I did develope very strong connection to my breath. Few years ago I started to feel this need of adding sound to my breathing practice. Some pranayamas like Brahmari or Ujjayi encourage this. All my previous voice-work experiences started to come back to me, all of a sudden made complete sense and enriched my yoga practice.
I would love to share this practice with you:)
In Voice Yoga we observe the voice as we observe the breath. We search for feelable vibrations that travel through the body, exploring voice in various yoga asanas and pranayamas. The body itself becomes a singing bowl and practice transformes into sound healing session, paradoxically allowing for the deep silnce and stillness to unfold within.

Hey everybody,
this week on sunday we are meeting at for an amazing Face Yoga practice :)
It's been a while since the last time and it makes me so happy as the face is so often a forgotten body part during the regular yoga practices.
It's a shame because we have over 50 muscles in the face that can be taken care of, nurtured and exercised like any other body part.
Trained muscles become bigger and fill up the skin from the inside out, offering much better support and reducing wrinkles ๐ it works like a natural botox or face lift!!!๐ฎ๐
Besides of this amazing "beauty effect" Face Yoga gives us an opportunity to release unnoticed tension held by the face. Jaw alone is the strongest muscle in the whole body and so many of us hold it clenched nearly the entire time. Through Face Yoga we can release tension and stress from the jaw, eyebrows, forehead, eyes and throat. It helps with neck and shoulders release and promotos beautiful, straight posture.
During the practice we will take care of head, forehead, eye-area, eyebrows, cheeks, mouth and lips, nosalabial lines, neck and jawline :) AND you will learn a face massage rutine that can be done every day while applying face cream or oil.

Friday 13.12.2024 we are meeting again for a beautiful 2,5 hours long XXL class Hatha, Nidra, Meditation at Bindi from 19:00 till 21:30.
This class is very special to me.
I really love that every few months we have a chance to have this Full Yoga Experience, where all the elements and limbs of yoga (there are 8 of them!) come together to make us truely understand the power of yoga and what it really means to practice it.
We start with asanas (following my beloved Sivananda's sequence), continue with pranayama, Yoga Nidra as a final relaxation and finish with 30min of sitted meditation.
Last time in october we talked during the class about the difference between concentration and meditation. I know that for many "meditation beginners" it's difficult to notice the difference, and being able to concentrate is probably the most difficult part of the whole journey.
Yoga practice in its fullness and richness offers us tools to improve those concentration struggles and in this upcoming class I will add some elements that hopefully will help you get there.
Into our regular practice we are going to add:
--> Brahmari - the practice of Pratyahara (5th point of yoga) meant to helps us become free from our senses and external disturbances
--> Tratak - the practice of Dharana (6th point)meant to help increase concentration through object gazing. We are going to use stones or crystals as the objects of observation, and gazing will be the entry to the meditation practice.
I will have stones and crystals for
everybody, but you can bring your own favorite ones too!! It doesn't have to be big, you just need to be able to see it without the strain in your eyes.
I can't wait for our practice together.

Upcoming friday 29.11.2024!!
๐ซด Myofascial release practice goes much deeper into the tissues than traditional Yin Yoga. Traditional Yin takes care only of the fascia that is wrapped around the muscles, on the surface, leaving the deep layers untouched and under stimulated. Those deep layers are called myofascia.โ

In order to take care of those deepest layers of myofascia and release the tight knots we need a massage and manual treatment.
This friday! A new XXL class that is a continuation of the work we did during โYin Yoga and tennis ballsโ. ๐พโ
In this 2,5 hour XXL class you will learn how to take care and release your own myofascia using various techniques. We will massage the body with hands and tennis balls, learn various stretching and pressure techniques and experiment finding out what fits our needs the best.โ

After our last fully booked Embodied Voice Practice we are coming back to you with a new date:
Saturday 23.11.2024 in Soest on a beautiful farm Derde Erf.
All day of somatic movement, breath awareness and building a relationship with your voice to let it flow freely and bravely through the world.
I would love to share with you some photos from the last time, but we have NONE. We were all so absorbed with our experience, work and being in the present moment that nobody really thought about it.
Let it be the best review of how deep this work goes.

Summer is over and we are starting a new season of the classes and workshops!!
For me 1st of the September is the beginning of the new year since I can remember! Let me share with you what is going to happen in the upcoming months:
27.09.2024 - friday - XXL class Yin Yoga with the tennis balls 19:00-21:30
This is a class that introduces you to the self massage and myofascial release that you can implement to your regular Yin practice! You can take care of your back, hips, legs, arms... It is really a full body massage that goes deep into the tissues.
18.10.2024 -friday- XXL class Hatha, Nidra, Meditation 19:00-21:30
In this class we are actively preparing the body and mind for the 30min meditation practice. Hatha Yoga (Sivananda Sequence) and Yoga Nidra help us to get into the meditative state. Meditation in a group is easier!:) The energy of the people around focused on the same goal is very very helpful.
23.11.2024 -saturday- Embodied Voice Practice on the Derde Erf farm in Soest, 10:00-17:00.

This friday Asia is back with her popular Hatha Yoga & Yoga Nidra class. This time the focus is on preparing the body and mind for the meditation practice, trying to understand that the meditation is the state of being and not the state of doing.
The aim of meditation is to train the mind, focus attention, feel undisturbed and experience mental clarity about your life, as you direct your focus inward.
๐ฆIn the first part of the class we are going to focus on the yoga asanas: the Sivananda sequence helps to achieve the sense of grounding and attentive awareness, while chosen yoga postures are aimed to strengthen the back and open the hips, to prepare for the sitting meditation.
๐The second part of the class will be focused on Pranayama and various breathing exercises to improve the concentration and direct the focus inward.
๐งIn the third part you are going to follow a short Yoga Nidra sequence, to achieve the sense of the deep relaxation and harmony between body and mind.
