Why Phonics Wins: The PLD Method 📚✨
Ever wondered why reading approaches have shifted so much in recent years?

For a long time, children were encouraged to "guess" unfamiliar words using picture clues or context. But neuroscience—and the Science of Reading—has shown us that the brain learns to read best when it’s explicitly taught the code of written language.

At Tambran, we use PLD (Promoting Literacy Development), a structured, evidence-based literacy program grounded in synthetic phonics.

Here’s why this approach sets our students up for lifelong success:
1️⃣ It removes the guesswork: Kids learn how sounds (phonemes) map directly to letters (graphemes), giving them the tools to decode any word.
