CELEBRATION OF AN ICON: PROF. IBRAHIM USMAN, Provost, Samaru College of Agriculture, DAC, ABU Zaria
The Provost, Samaru College of Agriculture, Division of Agricultural Colleges (DAC), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof. Ibrahim Usman, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to community development and educational advancement in Nigeria. The award ceremony took place in Maiduguri on 22nd November, 2025.
In his remarks, the President of the Union, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, praised Prof. Usman’s unwavering dedication to academic excellence and national development. He noted that the Provost’s remarkable contributions stand as a testament to his commitment, passion, and far-reaching impact on countless lives.
According to him, Prof. Usman has set enviable standards in his professional career—standards that continue to inspire and guide those he has mentored over the years. He added that the Emirate is profoundly proud to honour an illustrious son whose achievements and integrity have brought great prestige to the community and to the nation at large.

2025 JAMB STAKEHOLDERS MEETING RESOLUTION

The minimum admissible scores for admissions for the next academic session have been fixed at 150 for universities, 100 for polytechnics, 100 for colleges of education and 140 for colleges of nursing sciences by the stakeholders (Heads of Tertiary Institutions).
