The robust IT infrastructure facilitates delivery of high-speed internet and intranet access suitable for e-learning services, on-line applications and multimedia communication services. In furtherance to achieving this vision and to maximally harness the benefits from the abundant potentials, IT services should be deployed effectively and efficiently to improve service delivery. With this conviction, the University Governing Council, at its 150th meeting of 25th June 2013, approved the merger of Information and Communication Technology Directorate and Iya Abubakar Computer Centre into a single entity to be known and called “Institute of Computing & Information and Communication Technology” (ICICT). The ICICT is saddled with the responsibility of providing timely and qualitative computing and information technology services for the University. The mandate is to ensure that the Institute is empowered to enable the University take a pride position as one of the best ICT-driven universities in Africa and in the world.
