So how do you get your kids to do what you want them to do and when you want them to do it?

There are obviously quite a number of answers to this but let's talk a little about one you may consider trivial and hence forget but to your detriment.

Here is an hard truth. You are doing very bad as a children educator if you've not understood and mastered how to bond emotionally with your students.

Children are very emotional beings. Incase you didn't hear that, I'd say it again; children are very emotional beings. It's what makes them beautiful. There emotional quality makes them fragile and malleable.

Acknowledge and respect this fact and you would be a natural influence on them, neglect this and they will see you as a threat and as the one who comes only to steal their joy. Sounds like the devil🤣.

So back to our question. How do you use this to trigger children into desired actions?
Here it is. Much more than study, when children connect to you emotionally, they make themselves vulnerable and easily affected by your emotions. Your joy, laughter, facial expressions, pain, and burdens rubs off on them like a charm. Children in this state will want to do everything possible to see you happy and pleased with them even if it involves doing long assignments, paying attention during class and lots more.

One of the ways we know you are a bad tutor if you always have to cane your students before they do what you bid them to.

Creating and Maintaining Healthy Boundaries.

This right here is one of the major secrets to a seamless communication flow between tutors and kids. The nature of the relationship between tutors and their students demands the employment of healthy restrictions and boundaries to ensure the effective use of every time spent together.

A healthy boundary can be built by taking into consideration a few factors. Some of these may be boundaries for the kinds of joke(fun) during class, language, physical contact and even appraisal.

Putting into consideration the appropriate measures of each of these factors needed for effectiveness in class helps create a healthy boundary that when adhered to; creates a safe space for learning.

It's not just about their conducts during class sessions but how that affects their conduct at home and in the society.

It's amazing how they don't need any manual or guide to explore these devices. It's like they were born with them.

One of the things we must teach the younger age is the effective use of time and it's implication in building good or bad habits.

Sometimes the difference between a good student and a trying one is just a change of habits.

Good habits don't come by default. They are learnt, practiced and improved on.
Bad habits however are easily formed. And all you have to do is just leave it up to chance(random occurrence).

The Good news is this; Kids can easily change habits.
