OUR SUCCESS INGREDIENTS

1. EARLY START.
JAMB exams would require an average full 2 years to prepare thoroughly for optimum result which is something we try to accomplish through our science foundation classes for Ss1 and Ss2 students. Nonetheless our 9 months intensive training if followed consistently and both the management of Gateway, the students and the parents contributed their due quotas, a decent result has been proven to be possible. Most students start preparing after they register for JAMB which is usually less than 4 months and that's very terrible as good Results is nearly impossible or the least to say is, the JAMB scores would have been better if the preparations started earlier.

2. PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED, EXPERIENCED TEACHERS

The management provide rooms for students to lay their complaints if any about the whole program or any class they are having difficulties with on a regular basis so that solutions could be provided at the earliest, there is a regular general orientation for the students and an individualized orientation too based on the peculiar observable problem of the student.

PROGRAMME DESIGN

1.Curriculum

Our curriculum is JAMB centred, we focus on covering JAMB syllabus in the stated 9 months period. Since JAMB syllabus is covers both WAEC and NECO, our students will have the knowledge sufficient enough to write their WAEC and NECO exams without hitches.

2. TEACHERS

All our Teachers have at least 7 years experience coaching students for JAMB exams. with their efforts, GATEWAY was able to produce students with 285, 303, 306 and 320 points in JAMB exams over the years. Teachers Quality has never been compromised at GATEWAY.

3. TEACHING-LEARNING EXERCISE

All teachers have JAMB exams in mind while teaching, so they throw out key points, past questions and areas of concentration in topics while teaching in the class. In subjects where it is possible, students will answer about 30 questions in the class before leaving.

4. MOTIVATION AND COMPETITION

GATEWAY considers the diversity of its students coming from different schools to set a competitive tone in the environment that will push the students to go beyond themselves to improve.This include a weekly CBT exams and a PPT weekly Revision test too where the results of the top 10 students will be posted on the notice boards. Rewards are given to the best students.

5. GUIDANCE AND ORIENTATION

The management of GATEWAY organizes Orientation programs for its students on how to read for JAMB exams, how to pass JAMB exams and even how to make a good choice of the course of study and institutions for its students on a monthly basis and we also help our students with reading plans and we provide avenue where a student will forward his/her complaints about our program anonymously and he will have his/her complaints attended to. There is also a one on one meeting between a student and one of the management teams atleast once in a month to adress all the issues with regards the student and there is also a close relationship with parents too to report any anomaly with their wards and advice them appropriately.
