Tunrab Academy of Music is an amazing centre for learning and fun with music lessons, ensembles and choirs with lots of people having a great time. A consortium of trained professionals Music Education expert that is committed to deliver quality music education using our expertise and skills backed by cognate experience in bringing the best out of their students.
Even though many of our Musicians/ Artistes in this part of the world have done well for themselves both locally and internationally, however, majority of them cannot withstand their international counterparts because they lack basic music education.

Importance of Music Education
Listening to music is something almost everyone does or has done. Others take their love of music further and learn to write or play music. Whether it’s listening, composing or playing an instrument, music education at an early age can be beneficiary for kids’ whole life. Playing a musical instrument makes your children smarter.
Many studies have been conducted on the effects of music to the brain. Scientists say that “children who are exposed to music, or those who play an instrument, do better in school than those who don't.” Recent research suggests exposure to music may benefit a child’s reading age, IQ and development of certain parts of the brain.

Why Music Is Good For Adults
Playing a musical instrument relieve stress & remains active eventually helping to sharpen the memory. We all have days when we are so stressed out and just want to take a break from it all. Have you ever notice that when you hear soft soothing music, you feel more relaxed? Playing an instrument can do that and more, especially if you're the one playing.
Music is one of life’s simple joys; it helps calm the mind. Playing a musical instrument is fun. Sure it can be lot of hard work but there's no denying playing an instrument is fun. Once you get better at it, opportunities will arise for you to share your newly learned skill with you family and friends. Who knows, you may also consider playing professionally in the future. Playing a musical instrument opens up a lot of possibilities that will surely enrich your life.

At TMA, we provide full package music courses tailored for those who want to broaden their musical knowledge. We offer opportunities to individuals who are already into the music business and wish to improve their skills and at the same time acquire basic music education by learning the Rudiments and Theory of music.

TMA is a pioneering contemporary music school in Bayelsa state and aiming to be one of the best in Nigeria. At TMA we believe that music is a marriage of the technologies of the day and the heritage of our musical experience and knowledge. We have courses not only for musicians who are seeking an education career within the industry but also people who just love music and want to have fun.

TMA welcomes everyone from song writers and musicians to sound engineers and DJs, choristers to church band members. Everyone working in the music business will find this new technical age provides them with the opportunity to use their creativity in an industry that was formally dominated by artistes and record companies.

Ensembles/ Groups.
We encourage all who take practical lessons from us to join an ensemble to maximize their development as a musician. Most of our ensembles are held on Saturday mornings at Belary School.
We have various ensemble/ groups in our Saturday club such as: Choir, String orchestra, Brass band, Steel pans band, gospel/ dance band, etc.
The benefits of joining a musical ensemble include more than just practicing new pieces. You will meet new friends who shares similar interests to you and work together to create something to be proud of at regular performance opportunities.
We hope to organise regular Concerts and various musical activities to showcase talents performances.

COURSES
We have wide range of courses to choose from. Ranging from beginners to advance, part-time or evening courses, we have something to suit everyone’s need.

Students have a choice of 1—6 months individual or group courses on the followings:
Guitar Performance
Keyboard Performance
Saxophones Performance
Brass Performance
Drum Performance
Voice Performance
Sound Engineering

Our students can also study, sit for and obtain various certificates in music including Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) graded exams, theory and practical.

COURSE FEES
Six-month Course N50,000
Three-month Course N30,000
1 month Course N15,000
Group up to 5 N40,000 monthly
Group up to 10 N70,000 monthly

PAYMENT OF FEES
The balance of fees is payable 2 weeks prior to the start date. If for any reason it is not possible to make payments by this date, the school must be notified immediately as places cannot be guaranteed until full payment is received.
