*‘’Brick on Brick’’*

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. *(Romans 10:17)*

When a house is being built, it starts with one brick, and then another brick is laid on it, on and on until the whole structure is built. It’s the same with your faith. Just like the house, you’ve got to build your faith too.

How do you build your faith? According to today’s memory verse, you build it with the Word. As the Word of God comes to you even as you’re studying your Rhapsody of Realities for Early Readers of Realities for Early Readers, your faith is growing.

I encourage you to study and meditate on God’s Word often, for it contains the ingredients to build your faith

Monday 8th

*KEEP SAYING IT*

For the word of God is living and powerful… *(Hebrews 4:12)*

The Christian life is called *“the great confession.”* This isn’t about confessions of sins or anything like that, but talking the Word of God, regardless of what you hear, see or feel. It is you saying what God has said about you in faith, in spite of the situation around you.

Remember the story of the Shunammite woman? She had just lost her only child, and when Elisha asked her what the problem was, she said, *“It is well”* (2 Kings 4:26). Those were words of faith. Therefore, fill your heart with the Word, and keep speaking it!

BE BOLD ABOUT HIM

It’s news I’m most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary Message of God’s powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him, starting with Jews and then right on to everyone else! (Romans 1:16 MSG).

The Apostle Paul was passionate about the Gospel and proclaimed it with all passion, boldness, audacity, faith, and conviction. In Romans 1:16-17, he said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”

If you love Jesus, you’ll be passionate about His message and about serving Him. If you truly believe that the message of the Gospel has changed your life, you’ll be bold to speak about it openly; you’ll be bold to reach out to others with the Gospel you’ve received.

Never be shamefaced about Christ, the message of the Gospel or your identity with Him. At every opportunity, preach the Gospel. You might say, “I don’t know what to say”; begin with your testimony of Christ—how He changed your life. Talk about our inextricable oneness with Him, His liquid and unconditional love for all, His grace, mercy and kindness.

Be impenitent about your love for Jesus. Don’t be ashamed of who you are in Him, and don’t let others make you ashamed of what you believe. Jesus said, “For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:26). If you think Jesus changed your life, you have to be bold to talk about it; be bold to express it; be bold to tell others what Jesus Christ means to you and what He’s done in your life. You’re a witness of who He is.

WORD-BASED SONGS

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16).

Have you ever heard some Christians sing, “Holy Spirit, come down; rain down on us.” Such a song is inconsistent with truth, because the Holy Spirit already came on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-3) and lives in you today. It’s also no use singing, “Come live in me Holy Spirit.” It’s clear from our opening scripture that He dwells in you: “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16).

Some even get emotional and cry, singing, “Fill me, O Lord!” But the Word never said God is going to fill you. Paul, by the Spirit, said in Ephesians 5:18, “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.” It’s your responsibility to be filled with the Spirit. He told you to do it. Therefore, no matter how much you sing and cry to the Lord to fill you, you’ll never be filled, because the Word already shows how to get yourself filled with the Spirit.

Singing the wrong songs creates unbelief and deepens ignorance. Therefore, when you sing, listen to the words; sing songs that are founded on the truth of God’s Word in the Gospel of Christ. Our worship, praise and thanksgiving or even songs of edification must be correctly delivered in words consistent with the New Testament of Christ. It’s not about singing your favourite song or the one that gives you goose bumps; it’s about singing scriptural songs of the present truth.

CONFESSION
Blessed Lord, you’re gracious and kind; therefore, your praise shall continually be in my mouth. Your greatness is unsearchable and your lovingkindness is ever sure. Thank you for your Word that’s in my heart strong, prevailing and producing in me what it talks about.

MY LIFE IS FROM GLORY TO GLORY!

My life upward and forward only; no ups and downs, because in Christ, I’m forever up! He
upholds me with His right hand of righteousness that
I may never stumble. My path is of shining light,
shining brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.
The Word is living and active in me, and inspires faith in me to overcome challenges and maintain my victorious life in Christ. I’m born of the Word; therefore, I live by the Word. As I study and meditate on the Word, my faith is strengthened and improved, from glory to glory, and the blessings of acting on the Word are evident in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
