On Wednesday, the first NADESSTU general meeting was held successfully on 29th January, 2026 at TLH 1. The Executives appreciate the impressive turnout and the active participation of members.
Several important issues were discussed, and key highlights include:
1. NADESSTU Freshersβ/Orientation & Welcome Back Party
Members were officially informed about the upcoming NADESSTU Freshersβ Orientation and Welcome Back Party, scheduled to hold on 13th February, 2026. Further details will be communicated soon, and all members are encouraged to participate.
2. NADESSTU Bursary Scheme
The meeting also highlighted the associationβs bursary support initiative, aimed at assisting deserving students. Guidelines and eligibility requirements will be released in due course.
3. Payment of NADESSTU Dues
All Nadesstaites are hereby reminded to pay their NADESSTU dues promptly, as this will enable the association to effectively carry out its programs and activities.
Once again, we thank everyone for making the first general meeting a success. Letβs continue to move NADESSTU forward together.

This is to officially inform all members of NADESSTU that a delegation of the Executive Council, alongside some Tribal Heads and Parliament Members, paid a visit to Dr. Joseph Thomas Eghwerido on Monday, 26th January 2026 for the purpose of appointing him as our Staff Adviser.
This appointment was made based on the recommendation of our former Staff Adviser, Professor Ezekiel Oghenenyerhovwo Agbalagba, the Vice-Chancellor.
During the meeting, Dr. Joseph Thomas Eghwerido graciously accepted the appointment and gave us words of advice, encouragement, and guidance. He emphasized unity, discipline, and commitment as key values needed to move NADESSTU forward.
He also assured the association of his full support and promised to work with us to take NADESSTU to the next level.
The Executive Council appreciates his acceptance and encourages all members to cooperate fully as we begin this new chapter together.

On Thursday 4 December, 2025, the leadership of NADESSTU FUPRE Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ezekiel O. Agbalagba, to introduce the new executives and outline plans for enhanced student welfare.
The VC congratulated the team, encouraged responsible leadership, and assured them of his full support in promoting bursary awareness, student engagement, and welfare initiatives.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with the VC and the new leadership committing to work together to strengthen student engagement and welfare on campus.

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSTU) engaged in a thrilling friendly match with the National Association of Yoruba Students (NAYS) FUPRE Chapter.
NADESSTU emerged victorious, scoring 1 goal against NAYS. Huge congratulations to NADESSTU on their well-deserved win! π₯π Kudos to both teams for displaying excellent sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the match. What a memorable experience for all involved
