Statement from the Federal Polytechnic Wannune Community

We, the host community and stakeholders of Federal Polytechnic Wannune, unequivocally denounce the recent petition circulated by Dr. Doris Ngurumun Iorchir against the Rector, Management, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and other esteemed leaders.

Her allegations of "terrorism," "money laundering," and other unfounded claims are intentional falsehoods, designed to mislead the public and disrupt the harmony of this nascent institution. Dr. Doris is neither a Deputy Rector nor a staff member of Federal Polytechnic Wannune, as she has attempted to represent herself. In reality, her history of insubordination and misconduct resulted in her dismissal, which she now seeks to obscure with fabricated accusations.

The Polytechnic community rejects her efforts to tarnish the reputation of the Rector, management, and the Federal Government. We stand firmly in support of our leaders and the vision of Federal Polytechnic Wannune to deliver quality education, foster innovation, and uplift Tarka LGA and Benue State.

We urge the general public, government authorities, and well-meaning Nigerians to disregard Dr. Doris’s falsehoods. The truth remains that Federal Polytechnic Wannune is an institution committed to progress, not division.

The administration of Federal Polytechnic Wannune wishes to address the recent petition submitted by Dr. Doris Ngurumun Iorchir. This petition contains unfounded and misleading assertions intended to tarnish the reputation of this institution.

In her statement, Dr. Doris irresponsibly referred to issues such as "terrorism" and "money laundering," with the aim of inciting fear and discrediting the leadership of the Polytechnic. These allegations are not only false but also detrimental to the reputation of Federal Polytechnic Wannune and the Federal Government that established it.

It is important to clarify that Dr. Doris is neither a permanent staff member of this Polytechnic nor the Deputy Rector, as she has falsely claimed. Her dismissal was due to acts of insubordination, misconduct, and a continuous disregard for institutional authority.

The Polytechnic remains committed to its mission of providing quality technical and vocational education. We will not be diverted by false narratives. Stakeholders, students, and the general public are encouraged to dismiss these fabrications and continue to support the growth and progress of Federal Polytechnic Wannune.

This is to inform the general public that admission into the National Diploma (ND) programmes at Federal Polytechnic Wannune is now open. Interested candidates are advised to visit our official website at www.fedpolywannune.edu.ng or come to the Polytechnic to obtain the application form.
