Many people assume they have three months to prepare. In reality, those three months should be used to refine your application—not build it from scratch.

Here's what you can do before the application window opens:

✅ Update your CV.

✅ Take your English language test.

✅ Gather your academic documents.

✅ Research universities and programmes.

✅ Draft your research proposal.

✅ Review your country's development priorities from previous years.

Development priorities may change slightly from one year to the next, but they are usually built around long-term national goals such as education, healthcare, agriculture, digital transformation, climate change and economic development.

If you prepare your proposal around these broader themes, you can fine-tune it once the new priorities are announced.
