DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY AND NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
UNIVERSITY OF UYO
CALL FOR PAPERS ON A SPECIAL BOOK IN HONOUR OF OUR EMERITUS PROFESSORS PHILIP A. AKPAN AND IDORENYIN. B. INYANG
Dear Colleagues,
As we are all aware, two of our eminent professors (Professors P. A. Akpan and I. B. Inyang bowed out of the public service a couple of months ago, after serving our great Department throughout their active service lives. It might interest us to recall that, these men, throughout their period of service to the University, did not take leave of any sort. They were always available for the University/Department. The Department which has been very stable over time owes much to the pioneering roles of these professors who today answer emeritus. With such level of dedication and commitment to service, the Department considered it befitting to prepare a book in their honour. This is meant celebrate their legacies.
Consequently, a committee was set up to coordinate the said book. Therefore, we request that every one of us prepares a paper in his/her area of specialty as a chapter in the said book.
