True empowerment doesn't just hand out supplies; it hands out knowledge.

As Shield the child foundation kicked off the RED CARD INITIATIVE: The Dignity & Defence Edition at the Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria here in Uyo, their first mission was to break the silence around menstrual health. We gathered the adolescent girls for a specialized classroom session on pad hygiene and body dignity.

By utilizing visual aids and dedicated sign language interpreters, we ensured that neurodivergent and deaf students were fully included. No child was left behind in understanding their own body autonomy.

*EXAMINATIONS IN PROGRESS AT LDSN CENTRE*

LDSN Centre is currently bustling with activity as our learners sit for their examinations.

The exams commenced today *Wednesday, 8th July 2026*, and learners have been turning up early, well-prepared and focused. Classrooms have been arranged to ensure a calm and conducive environment for writing.

Teachers are on ground to supervise and guide the process, ensuring that the exercise runs smoothly and in line with Individualise Education plan at LDSN LDSN.
