On Thursday, 11th June 2026, our learners will take us on a journey across Africa as we celebrate Cultural Day 2026 / Day of the African Child.

This year's celebration will showcase the rich cultures of Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal through traditional attire, cultural displays, music, dance, food, and thought-provoking presentations.

Beyond the colours and celebrations, our learners will also lend their voices to an important conversation on the theme:

💧 "Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa."

We believe that education goes beyond the classroom. It is about raising children who understand their roots, appreciate diversity, and are equipped to make a positive impact in society.

Have you ever wondered how Children's Day came about? 🤔🤔

It began as a global reminder that children are precious lives deserving of protection, love, and intentional care. From early religious movements for child welfare to the establishment of Universal Children’s Day by the United Nations, the world slowly came to recognize one truth: Every Child Matters.

At Full Life Academy, we hold this truth close to our hearts.

Today, as Nigeria celebrates Children’s Day, we celebrate more than a date on the calendar.

We celebrate our children as God's gift to us, and we celebrate the privilege of nurturing, guiding and shaping their destinies with discipline, excellence and godly virtues.

What happens when a simple white handkerchief meets a needle, thread, and a student with imagination? 🤔

Our SSS1 Visual Arts students were recently given a task: “Embroider your preferred insect by hand on a white handkerchief.”

At first glance, it felt like mission impossible.

But eventually, we got these beautiful artworks here.

Each student began with a blank space.
No colours. No patterns. Just potential.

Then came the thinking:

Why this insect?
What does it represent?
How do I translate something living into thread and fabric?

Some chose butterflies, others chose bugs. A few explored other insects.

And slowly, stitch by stitch, with patience and proper guidance, the impossible became possible..

Embroidery teaches what textbooks cannot fully capture:

👉🏼. Beauty often requires patience.
👉🏼. Small, consistent efforts create remarkable results.

At Full Life Academy, we don't just teach our students. We give them an experience.

The future is not built someday. It is built everyday through discipline, learning, consistency and the courage to grow beyond limits.
