INTRODUCTION
Nationwide Education Enlightenment Foundation is a leading educational consulting firm with strong bias for youth development, training, mentoring and leadership. We render the helping services central to shaping the future of children, youths and even adult population of the State and Country at large. We provide guidance and counseling services in educational establishments for purposes of career development, eradication of youth restiveness, cultism, examination malpractice and improvement of self concept, academic performance and self esteem among Students.

Our overall objective is that of empowering youths and teenagers with skills needed to attain peak performances in their various academic and extramural activities.

The core objective of the firm is to guide Secondary School Students through their career path and help channel their thoughts towards sustainable academic accomplishments.

NEEF was founded in 2011 with its headquarters in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State is professionally recognized by the Ministries in charge of Education, Youth and Sports, Women Affairs and Social Welfare in Akwa Ibom State.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION/STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

The current practice of education in Nigeria nay Akwa Ibom State have indicated some lapses in the areas of career guidance. A closer look at our Primary and Post Primary Institutions shows that up to SS3, Students do not understand the subjects to offer that will give them their desired career in life. Majority of them do not realize their interest, skills, values and don’t even believe in themselves. The bitter truth here is that Nigeria has millions of unemployed graduates because they picked the wrong career, Nigeria also has millions of im-passionate and unmotivated workforce because they hate what they do as such Nigeria is deprived of future entrepreneurs, managers, artisans, and researchers to generate wealth and provide services desperately needed.

This can be attributed to ignorance and lack of career guidance from the Primary to Secondary level. Even when we see some sort of guidance, it does not involve experiential learning. This makes it harder for these Students to see a realistic and candid view of the profession or industry in which they are interested before they take the plunge into it. The concept of career planning is one that many Nigerian Students are generally not accustomed to. The reason(s) for this are varied as to what each individual wants to achieve with a career, but limited by the amount of information possessed on the opportunities that are available in each known field and this has become a major burden to this foundation, Nationwide Education Enlightenment Foundation (NEEF).
