UYO STUDENTS ASSOCIATION WORLDWIDE - MEETING HIGHLIGHTS

The executive committee of the Uyo Students Association Worldwide convened today to strategize and propel the Uyo student community forward.

Key highlights of the meeting included the appointment of a Review Committee for the Uyo Students Association Worldwide constitution. The committee members, drawn from various regions, are as follows:

1. Comr. Samuel Akpan (OFFOT) - Chairman
2. Comr. Joseph Ekong (OKU) - Vice Chairman
3. Secretary General (IKONO UYO) - Secretary
4. Nsobom Richmond Ebong (OKU) - Member
5. Mr. Aniekpeno Effiong (ETOI) - Member
6. Comr. Unwana Sam (OFFOT) - Member
7. Comr. Iboro Sylvanus (IKONO) - Member
8. Comr. Bright Ene (ETOI) – Member
9. ESV. Etiene Uwah (OFFOT) - Member

These appointed individuals are tasked with urgent responsibilities and are expected to report back to the President of Uyo Students.

OFFICIAL VISIT OF UYO STUDENTS ASSOCIATION WORLDWIDE TO UYO LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL

…. as Dr. Uwemedimo Udoh disbursed over 500 bursary forms to indigenous students of Uyo

Earlier today, the leadership of the Uyo Student Association Worldwide led by Comrade Elijah Bassey, paid a solidarity visit to the office of the Supervisor for Education and Manpower, Uyo Local Government Council, to express her appreciation to the Uyo Local Government Council for their continuous education support.

The meeting also had the inspection of a newly built structure in the Department of Works. This is a clear indication that the Uyo council boss is showing tremendous commitment to the people of Uyo, even within this short period as the chairman Uyo Local Government transition committee; said the worldwide body of Uyo students.

In his remarks, Hon. Idara, the honorable supervisor for Education and Manpower assured that his office is always open to solicit to the council on behalf of the students and also urged the students to fill and submit their respective forms in an orderly manner as they await disbursements of funds.

Others in the meeting were, Comr. Sunday Ubong, Comr. Richmond Ubong, Comr. Samuel Akpan, Comr. Joseph Ekong, Comr. Henry Nse and Comr. Aniekpeno among others.

UYO COUNCIL BOSS, FLAG OFF BURSARY PAYMENT FOR 393 UYO STUDENTS WORLDWIDE

. Promise to promote individual creativity among Students

The Uyo Council Chairman, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, inaugurated the disbursement of bursaries to Uyo students, marking a significant milestone for the Uyo Students Association Worldwide. The initiative, commencing first, for the University of Uyo (115) the mother chapter, aims to support academic excellence foster individual creativity among students.

Expressing his commitment to the student community, Dr. Udo affirmed his dedication to assisting students academically and in other aspects, thereby uplifting the reputation of Uyo.

Leading up to the event, notable figures and well-wishers conveyed their support through heartfelt messages, with the goal of guiding students away from negative influences.

The event also welcomed distinguished personalities such as Hon. Ubong Linus, Hon. Stella Archibong, Councilor Ward 1, Hon. Ekemini Bassey, Supervisor for Education, Hon. Joe Brown, Hon. The Executive chairman of Uyo Local Government Council Dr Uwemedimo E. Udo has approved the payment of bursary to Uyo students of the 4 clans of Uyo studying at various institutions in the country.

First batch,
students of University of Uyo who got the bursary form, who’s name is on the list below should be at the Uyo Local government council Tomorrow.

Disbursement Commenced tomorrow For University of Uyo students only, all other institutions follow after tomorrow.

HAPPY HOUR IN UYO AS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN HOSTS UYO STUDENTS LEADERS

After the gubernatorial election of Akwa Ibom State, the Chairman of Uyo Local Government Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, through the Supervisor for Education & Man Power Uyo Local Government Comrade Ekemini Bassey hosted Uyo Students Leaders on Friday at the Local Government Secretariat.

In his Remark, the chairman appreciated the student leaders on behalf of their support throughout his tenure and during the electioneering period.

He further assured the students that Dr. Uwemedimo Udoh will pay the bursary to all "Public Tertiary Institution Students" from Uyo.

Also, Comr. Etim John Patrick of Etoi Clan from Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic made a humble submission to the Uyo council that Uyo Students needs a Van (Bus) that can convey students to their various congresses and inter-school tour, including Payment of Projects allowance, etc.

Bursary Committee was inaugurated, and the members are as follows:

2. Comr. Udeme Archibong - Secretary
3. Hon. Ekemini Bassey - Supervisor
4. Comr. Utibe Ekanem - Advisor
5. Comr. Justine Thompson - Member

Requirements for the bursary are:
1. Admission Letter
2. Certificate of Origin
3. School fees Receipt of last semester etc.

On arrival, Dr. Uwemedimo Udoh, appointed the Uyo Students Worldwide President, Comr. Elijah Bassey as his Special Assistant on Student Matters, Uyo Local Government Area.

Others in attendance were, Hon. Ubong Udofia, Secretary Uyo Local Government Council, Comr. Utibe Ekanem, NANS Zone B PRO, Comr. Elijah Bassey President Uyo Worldwide, Comr. Today the Congress of Uyo Students Association University of Uyo Chapter witness a massive turn out as the leadership of Uyo Worldwide attends congress.

The Public Relation Officer of Uyo Worldwide, Comr. Joseph Ekong donates 2 (Two) Banner to the National Association of Uyo Students, University of Uyo Chapter who happens to be the mother chapter.

This gesture is to enhance easy identification and also aid dissemination of Information among Uyo Students, old and new in all campuses of the University of Uyo.
