What is expected of your one year olds? Walk with me 😊

- *Physical*:
- Walking independently (or taking a few steps so don't fret if your one year old doesn't exactly walk long distances at his/her first birthday 😊
- Pointing to body parts
- Picking up small objects (like toys or snacks)

- *Cognitive*:
- Imitating gestures and actions
- Responding to simple commands (like "wave bye-bye")

- Language:
- Saying a few words (like "mama" or "dada")
- Babbling with consonant sounds (like "ba-ba-ba")
- Responding to their name

- Social;
- Playing simple games (like peek-a-boo)
- Showing affection for familiar people
