Before you choose a tech course, ask yourself these 5 questions.

Monday is a good day to start something new, but before you rush to register for the tech course everyone is talking about, take a minute.

Ask yourself these questions:

1. What do I actually enjoy doing?
Do you enjoy creating, analysing numbers, solving problems, writing, designing, working with people or organising things?

Pay attention to that. It can tell you a lot about the tech skill that may suit you.

2. What does the work actually look like?
Don't choose Data Analysis because someone said it pays well. 😂
Find out what a Data Analyst actually does.

The same goes for Web Development, UI/UX Design, Digital Marketing, Cybersecurity and other tech skills.

3. What do I want this skill to help me achieve?
Are you trying to get a job?
Start freelancing?
Improve your current career?
Build something?
Add a digital skill to the profession you already have?

Your goal matters.

4. What skills do I already have?
You may not be starting from zero.

Your background in Accounting, Marketing, Communication, Engineering, Education or Business can actually connect with different tech and digital skills.

5. Have I actually tested the skill?
Before committing completely, try a beginner lesson. Watch someone do the work. Try a small task.

Sometimes, the skill that sounds exciting is not the same one you enjoy doing.

So, before you choose a tech course, don't just ask, “Which one is making money?”

Ask, “Does this skill fit me, my goals and the kind of work I want to do?”

That question alone can save you from choosing a tech skill simply because everyone else is learning it.

“Is digital marketing becoming too saturated?”

Someone asked this, and honestly, it’s a valid question.

Especially now that more people are looking to learn digital skills and build careers in the digital space.

But here’s our take at Mita School: digital marketing can’t really be ‘saturated’ in the way you think.

Why?

Because marketing is about people.

And we change.

The way we think, what catches our attention, how we consume content, what makes us trust a brand and even where we spend our time online keeps changing.

So, there can’t be one formula that works forever.

What worked two years ago might not work today. And what is working today will most likely evolve again tomorrow.

That’s why the real advantage isn’t simply knowing digital marketing.

It’s understanding how marketing works, how people behave and how you can keep adapting to what is working.

This is also why learning from the right people and staying updated matters.

Before we show you what our students have been working on, let’s introduce the people who sat with them today and looked at their work.

At Mita School, we don’t want our students to only learn from the classroom. We want them to hear from people who are already in the industry, ask them questions, receive honest feedback and understand what they can do better.

That’s why we brought together professionals in Web Development, Cybersecurity, UI/UX Design and Programming to judge today’s presentations.

And honestly, it wasn’t just about saying, “This is good” or “This needs work.”

Our judges asked questions, pointed out areas that could be improved and shared practical insights from their own experience.

That’s constructive feedback, and it is a big part of how our students grow.

Because for us, the goal is not just to teach a tech skill.
It’s to prepare our students for what comes next.

Learning a tech skill is only the beginning.

One thing that stood out from our CEO’s opening remarks today is the question he is asking beyond the classroom:

“What happens to a student after they finish learning?”

Because the reality is, the tech industry does not reward certificates alone. It rewards people who can apply what they know, solve problems, build useful things, and show evidence of their ability.

That is why our CEO has been intentional about creating systems that give Mita School students that next step.

Through the application he created for our Student Innovation Lab, students can move from classroom learning to building real digital products, testing their ideas, improving them, and putting their work out there with their names attached to it.

This is the kind of thinking we believe modern tech education should have.

At Mita School, we are not just asking, “What skill can we teach you?”

We are asking:

“How do we help you turn that skill into something valuable?”

Because our responsibility goes beyond the classroom. We are preparing people for the future of work.
