Africa Day Celebration 2026 - Thailand: Strengthening Diplomacy, Cooperation, Culture & Friendship.

The event brought together members of the diplomatic community, distinguished guests, and representatives of African nations to commemorate the founding of the African Union and to celebrate the enduring unity, cultural richness, and strategic partnerships of the African continent.

The celebration was presided over by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, reflecting Thailand’s continued commitment to strengthening diplomatic and bilateral relations with African nations.

The Dean of the African Group of Heads of Mission in Thailand, H.E. Abderrahim Rahhaly, the Ambassador, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Bangkok chaired the celebration.

The event also witnessed the active participation of African Embassies and Consulates representing countries including Morocco, South Africa, Egypt, Libya, Kenya, and Nigeria. Through diplomatic receptions and cultural engagements, the celebration further strengthened mutual understanding, friendship, and cooperation between African nations and the Kingdom of Thailand.
