Everyone talks about teacher workshops, seminars, and certifications like they’re a magic wand. But let’s be honest: no amount of training can thrive in a toxic school culture.

I’ve walked into schools where teachers were highly qualified — but also demoralized, unsupported, and burnt out. I’ve consulted for schools where lesson plans were beautiful, but leadership was inconsistent, parental engagement was nonexistent, and classrooms were chaotic.

Here’s what I’ve learned after working with schools across Nigeria:
Until we prioritize school culture — how we treat teachers, how students are transitioned, how we communicate, how we lead — we will keep recycling mediocrity in beautiful packaging.

I help schools build intentional cultures that allow teachers to succeed and students to flourish. From managing noise levels during transitions to coaching Head Teachers to model what they preach — these “invisible” structures are where the real transformation happens.

More training? Yes.
But culture first, always.
