Few people who were smarter decided not to join in the search for gold, instead they found a better way to make more money even than those that were lucky to get some gold.

✅Tools for mining because everyone needed the tools to mine and try their luck, it doesn't matter whether they would be lucky to get the Gold or not. Everyone needed the tools.

✅Lands and homes and Hotel leasing ( Real Estate business) because everyone interested in the gold had to relocate to California to mine the Gold.

✅Agriculture( Food business) The vigorous daily exercise and the mass population created a high demand for food and alcohol etc

✅Transportation business

Alot of people must have need or desire for your offering (product, services or information).

You don't want to start with something people don't urgently want to buy, something they can always leave till later. That's extra burden if you need to start teaching and raising awareness for people to see the importance of not having the product or services you are offering

People can always decide to buy books later but will desperately buy data as soon as it finishes.

Alot of ladies can decide to buy a new set of pots later but will buy their make-up kit as soon as it finishes.

You should not start a business that has just few buying customers.

Only few people care about having a personal swimming pool in Nigeria, so starting a service that provides professional cleaning of swimming pool will limit your growth to only few numbers of people)

Only few Nigerians treat their pets as small god, how many people do you think buy pet tools and foods.

✅ 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞— How much will people be willing to pay for your offers?

You realized that people in your community don't have access to professional barbers. You want to be the first person and you want to stand out.

I am saying ,you should start a business that focuses on providing for a hungry market. 𝐢 𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝. I am talking about people who have a desperate need for a particular product, services or information.

Did you watch the blockbuster movie " Anikulapo" 𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐨 were starving and they didn't even have so much choice , they had seen pawpaw in a forest.
They didn't even bother washing the pawpaw, they cared less whether the pawpaw was ripe or not. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐰𝐩𝐚𝐰 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦.

An hungry market will not think twice when they find food. Nobody has thought specially about them. You who has choose to bring them food will have their loyalty and your name will constantly be in their mouth.

Right here ,you have a hungry market. There are lot of women who are seriously looking

They tell you, "everybody drinks water" so you should start pure water business, no matter what to will sell.

They tell you "everybody wears clothes, even the poor still buy clothes".

They tell you everybody eat food, so you will surely sell.

My question and concern is this.

🔴Are those people not already catered for?

🔴Are there not many people already serving those people with varieties of clothes they can chose from?

🔴How will you displace the big competitors who has grown big that even if they decide to sell with a profit of #1 they will still make profit enough to sustain the business?

🔴How will you get those customers to leave the competitors to start buying from you?

🔴Are you banking on your family, friends and church member to carry your business on their head , marketing for you?

A hungry market is a market that has been underserved.

Instead of saying "I want to start clothing business".

Two weeks ago I was very depressed, I couldn't wrap my head around the scandal.

I was accused of being a scammer and in a bid to defend myself I shot myself in the leg .

I became bitter and sworn never to have anything to do with those people who could defend me but failed to do so.

They knew me better and at least I expected support and defense from them.

I have a mini library in my house. Today I picked up a book "𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒊𝒏 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆. "

After going through the first chapter.

I realized I have a lot of things to fix about my self.

The self discovery is so soothing to my soul that I had to share this with you all.

Kick over means exactly that, to topple something by giving it a kick.

If you do that to a beehive, you won't get the honey you're after, but you will get an angry swarm of bees looking to sting you.

So if you want something from people, maybe it's better not to stir up bad feelings. If you do, you won't achieve your aim, but it's likely you'll have angry people ready to attack you.

𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐀

The Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON)
SON is the first Agency when it comes to Importation in Nigeria. SON issues import License to importers of various categories. This includes Product certificate/SONCAP, Import Permit, SONCAP default, MANCAP, etc.

The Nigerian Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC)
NAFDAC: The Nigerian Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is an agency of the Ministry of Health in Nigeria. Products regulated by NAFDAC are Food products, Drugs, Chemicals, Medical Products, Raw Materials, and other branded products exempted from registering with the Standard Organization of Nigeria.

𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 ?

🛑 The 100 pieces of powerbank you sent to the shipping company, did you get an import permit from SON before buying and sending to Nigeria.

🛑Do you know those weight loss tea, yoni pearl could be seized by NAFDAC at the point of clearance if the product wasn't registered and licensed by them

🛑Do you know most of the goods you are importing are 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 and you could go to jail if your logistics company run into big trouble with custom. Both you and the logistics company could go to jail. The whole consignment in the container can be impounded.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐒
anything prohibited by law from being imported or exported are contraband .

🛑Do you know second hand clothings are prohibited for importation.

🛑Do you know importing shoes in commercial quantity is considered a contraband

🛑 Glass and Glassware, kitchen utensils , Soap and cosmetics . Do you know all these goods and lot more are on custom import prohibited list.

Alot of importers are completely ignorant. It's so bad that they don't have any idea they are breaking the law .

An importer that has sent contraband to a logistic company to transport to Nigeria will still have the nerves to complain if the logistics company have issues clearing goods with custom.

𝐈𝐧 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬

🛑Your logistics company is like a driver, if you give a driver goods to send to Lagos from Enugu ,(Most time the driver doesn't know the content of the package, he believes whatever you tell him and of course he has no right to unbox the parcel. if the goods is contraband or doesn't have import license, what right do you have to sue the driver if custom , police or other agencies seize the goods.
The driver has taken the risk, everyone in the bus will suffer the illluck because the bus will be delayed.
The fact that the driver carried something implicating will warrant thorough check and investigation of all other passenger and goods.

Yet, an importer that has imported products in a commercial quantity but without import license will still come on social media to drag a logistics company that has taken the risk to transport the goods .

On a daily basis most mini importers send goods without import license and contrabands to logistics company.

The logistics company will not always be lucky during custom clearance.

Most of the time custom clearance is the reason why your goods are delayed. Especially for sea goods.

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨

Some years back when I was running a pre-order group( I was a newbie without much understanding) the logistics company I used to transport my goods from china to Nigeria told me they could not sort themselves out amicably with Custom and so therefore goods in the container will be impounded.

However we could pay a fine ,but the logistics company said they can't take full responsibility of the fine. Those of us that had goods in the container will share part of the bill and they will also share part of the bill.

I jejely and respectfully paid the money, if custom impound the container, I had no right to Sue the logistics company.

Know your right and Import with knowledge.

Your importation coach didn't teach you all these but you can still learn.

A customer will request that i help him/her get RMB or Dollar at a particular rate. In order to grant the request I will end up shooting myself in the leg.

A customer will request that I provide a service or sell a product at a particular price. In order to please the customer I will end up losing money and making decisions that will at the end of the day make the customer experience terrible.

✅How many Nigerians eat out ? How many Nigerians are stucked with what to cook or how to manage finance.

✅How many people love artwork and will spend a fortune to acquire one?

✅How many people uses Kerosene compared to gas or firewood? Isn't it important to carry out a market research on that before opening a gas station in your community.?.

✅How many people use a dishwasher? Buying a dishwasher to sell to Nigerians hmmmm

✅How many people have dogs or cats as pets in Nigeria? If you are considering selling products for dogs or cat.

✅How many people visit the gym? how many people need the service of a gym instructor

✅How many people are buying water bed?

✅How many people drink coffee in Nigeria, and how many people care to have a coffee machine?

✅How many people have swimming people in their house; how many people need swimming pool cleaning tools?

✅How many people are using firewood to cook? There is a large market for charcoal more than firewood.

✅How many Nigerians are wiling to spend #15,000 to buy a phone charger that can charge a phone from 1% 100% in less than 30 minutes even though the benefits are superb. I need it but the price is too exorbitant. I will rather stick to my #2500 charger or negotiate for a price of #5000.

✅How many Nigerians are willing to buy a Energy saving led bulb for #5000 even though it will save them from buying fuel frequently.

✅How many people are willing to buy a handsfree baby rocker or swing for #150,000 even though the benefits are superb and great.
