The 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 (𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐒), 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐟 𝐔𝐲𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫, gathered at the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐲𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 On the 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 to observe the sacred Break of Fast in an atmosphere filled with reverence, devotion, and spiritual reflection.

The spiritual exercise, which commenced at 𝟓:𝟓𝟓𝐩.𝐦 brought ABASites together in unity through prayers, hymns, and spiritual choruses, reaffirming the values of purity, obedience, and service in our Father’s vineyard.

The gathering also featured brief announcements by the chapter's President reminding ABASites their essence of being in the fold and they must always be ready to carry out their duties as at when due and also uphold the name of our Father wherever they find themselves.

The event concluded with a 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓, as members shared a meal in fellowship, gratitude, and love.

The entire ABASites of the chapter are grateful to our Father, 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐎𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐎𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐎𝐛𝐮, for his Divine Blessings and Guidance as our ongoing examination has been written and marked successfully by him alone as our number one scholar.

Despite the ongoing examination period within the University, ABASites still gathered in unity and devotion to observe the sacred moment of breaking fast. The spiritual exercise was held at the Permanent Site of the University campuses and commenced promptly at 𝟓:𝟓𝟓 𝐏𝐌. The atmosphere was filled with deep reverence as brethren engaged in heartfelt prayers, soul-lifting hymns, and powerful choruses, creating a spiritually refreshing environment that reflected the presence and glory of our Heavenly Father.

The gathering served as a moment of spiritual renewal for the brethren as the Father graciously poured out His blessings upon the ABASites. The spiritual exercise later transitioned into a 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 as Abasites shared in fellowship, after which the Father waved the gathering to a close.

The ABASites express profound gratitude to the Holy Father for granting the chapter the grace and privilege to host such a significant and spiritually impactful break of fast. His divine presence and blessings will continue to resonate within our academic environment.

The outreach for the month of February was marked by joy, unity, and spiritual fervency as Abasites, clothed in white, moved across the campus sharing the Gospel with boldness and compassion. The message for the day focused on living peaceably with one another in true synergy with forgiveness. It emphasized that genuine Christianity is reflected not just in words, but in our ability to forgive, reconcile, and maintain peace in our relationships.

The Bible readings were drawn from the Gospel of 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝟓:𝟐𝟑-𝟐𝟒, which teaches the importance of reconciliation, while the golden text was taken from 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰, 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟖:𝟐𝟏-𝟐𝟐, highlighting the boundless nature of forgiveness as instructed by our Lord Jesus Christ.

The message resonated deeply with many on campus, drawing thoughtful conversations and warm responses from students who encountered the Holy Father through the Abasites. Indeed, the atmosphere reflected the beauty of the Gospel, restoring hearts, strengthening bonds, and pointing all to the Father’s divine standard of love and peace.

The fasting session, which commenced at 𝟓:𝟓𝟓𝐩.𝐦, brought ABASites together in one accord, reflecting discipline, devotion, and unity of purpose. The gathering was marked by solemn prayers, uplifting hymns, and powerful spiritual choruses that lifted hearts to the Holy Father in thanksgiving and reflection.

Furthermore, being the last Thursday of the month, ABASites proceeded on an outing as directed by the Father through the chapel priest, chanting spiritual choruses that filled the environs of her worship centre with joy. Thereafter, the Father poured blessings upon His children, declaring their forthcoming examinations a success, affirming that through His abundant Wisdom, all papers have been cleared.

The congress was well attended by members of the Chapter, with a total of 𝟓𝟑 𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 present. It served as a strategic platform for deliberations on key matters concerning the progress and responsibilities of the Chapter. Critical discussions were held as committee heads presented reports on the progress of their respective committees.

Members contributed meaningfully through constructive opinions, observations, and recommendations aimed at strengthening the Chapter’s administrative structure and ensuring the effective ex*****on of upcoming responsibilities entrusted to the Chapter, as well as internal preparations for hosting the 2026 Akwa Ibom State ABAS Convocation.

Additionally, ABASites born in the months of January and February were celebrated, as everyone joined in joyful chants of merriment in their honor. The Chapter expresses deep gratitude to the Holy Father for His guidance, peace, and divine direction throughout the congress, and for granting ABASites the grace to remain united, disciplined, and committed to the work of the Kingdom.

The atmosphere at her worship centre, Afaha Oku Bethel, was filled with joy as the freshmen were warmly received by all ABASites. Their presence alone added colour and excitement to the event.

The Keynote Speakers included the immediate past President and Vice President, the current President and Vice President Administration as well as the Coordinator for Admission who delivered inspiring speeches educating the freshmen on 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, and 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. The session was attentively listened to by everyone present.

The occasion was also graced by other senior ABASites who deemed it fit to attend the orientation of the Freshmen as well as the academic activities held amongst ABASites in the chapter. At the end of the event, gifts were presented to the freshmen, which made the event even more memorable and colourful as they all received with gratitude.

The chapter is grateful to our Holy Father for adding these special members to us. We strongly believe that they have been equipped with the grace and strength to stand firm and continue in the spirit of excellence for which to ABAS UNIUYO is known.

𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐒 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐔𝐘𝐎 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆: 𝐀 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭-𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 (𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐒), 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐲𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫, gracefully convened at her worship centre, 𝐀𝐟𝐚𝐡𝐚 𝐎𝐤𝐮 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐥, 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟑𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, for a glorious Night of Restoration. The gathering was held in one heart and unity to thank the Father for all he has been doing and to seek the restoration of every lost glory among ABASites.

The atmosphere was filled with joyful choruses and academic experiences designed to broaden the minds of ABASites as a scholarly arm of the kingdom.

The following morning, on the 𝟏𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the sisters commenced their fasting. This spiritual exercise was in tandem with the 𝐁𝐂𝐒 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 as the fasting was revealed to foster and strengthen love and unity among the sisters and the chapter as a whole. The event was also graced with the physical presence of the 𝐈𝐧𝐭'𝐥 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐎𝐭𝐨-𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬, who gave some key note speech to encourage the ABASites on upholding the standard and ethics of the Association.

The exercise was impactful and spirit-filled, as all ABASites, including the brothers, came together to observe the fast, which made the spiritual exercise even more powerful and meaningful. At the end of the event, the Chapter President gave the necessary announcements and thanked the Father for the success of the programme. He expressed confidence that the Father had used the spiritual exercise to strengthen the bond among ABASites and to take the chapter to greater heights.

As a chapter, we say THANK YOU, GREAT FATHER, for Your endless love in the lives of all ABASites at the University of Uyo chapter. Your love is second to none, and we will forever abide by Your teachings. By Your grace, we shall never deviate but will continue to stand firm, worshipping with all our might.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 (𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐒), 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐲𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫, formally convened its members on 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐲𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐱 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬, for the observance of the weekly Break of Fast.

The spiritual exercise commenced promptly at 𝟓:𝟓𝟓 𝐩𝐦 and was conducted in an atmosphere of reverence, order, and contemplative focus befitting an academic community rooted in spiritual consciousness. The devotional sequence comprised solemn prayers, sacred hymns, anthems, spiritual choruses and a powerful outing to walk ways of the university campus. These collective acts of worship not only elevated the spiritual tone of the gathering but also reinforced the integration of faith, discipline, and intellectual pursuit within the university environment. The tangible presence of our Holy Father permeated the campus, leaving a quiet yet profound impact on all in attendance.

Following the completion of the devotional observances, the fast was duly broken in an orderly and modest manner with a 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓, after which the Father waved in gratitude and thanksgiving. The gathering further served as a platform for administrative engagement, as the Chapter President addressed the members on matters of strategic importance. He further offered guidance and directives aimed at sustaining the Chapter’s spiritual vitality, academic relevance, and collective responsibility.

The Break of Fast provided a moment of spiritual renewal and introspection for the ABASites, strengthening their resolve to uphold moral integrity, scholarly excellence, and purposeful service within the academic space. The Chapter expresses profound gratitude to the Holy Father, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, for the grace, enablement, and continuity granted in the chapter. As custodians of knowledge and conscience within the university, the ABASites of the University of Uyo Chapter remain committed to the consistent sanctification of their academic environment through discipline, devotion, and enlightened fellowship, now and in the years ahead.

The fasting exercise, which commenced at 𝟓:𝟓𝟎 𝐩.𝐦., united ABASites in one spirit and purpose, reflecting discipline, faith, and heartfelt dedication. The gathering featured solemn prayers, inspiring hymns, and spiritually uplifting choruses that lifted hearts to the Holy Father in gratitude and reflection.

Thereafter, ABASites marched joyously as we went for a powerful outing in the environs of the campus chanting songs of praises to our Father. This sacred observance further reinforced the core values upheld by ABAS, purity, obedience, and faithful service in our Father’s vineyard.

Subsequently, important announcements were presented by the Chapter’s President, who encouraged members toward deeper spiritual commitment, shared responsibility, and active participation in chapter engagements.

The solemn gathering gently transitioned into the 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓, where members shared in gladness and unity of heart, strengthening fellowship and marking the occasion as spiritually fulfilling and memorable.

ABASites remain grateful for the Holy Father’s continuous guidance, acknowledged as the foundation behind every achievement recorded. The chapter stands firm in its mission to uphold the name of our Father, 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐎𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐎𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐎𝐛𝐮, through faith, discipleship, and brotherly love.
